in Ovarian Cancer #1
Has any one heard from Felicia? I thing see was due for a Pet scan and was in the hospital.

    I am still in the hopital not sure when I'll be getting out, but they started me on taxol ummm weds. the cisplatin was rough i threw up 17 times that night they had to switch all my meds to IV. The constant fluids and meds help alot sorry for the bad grammer they have me on dilauted so im a little loopy. I hadnt seen the doc for a couple of days (im ususally asleep when he comes in) and this morning the first thing i heard him say was "she looked so healthy 3 days ago" then it hit me when I looked in the mirror i could see what he saw. I am already starting to look sick again. They are considering switching me to carbo since im not tolerating the cisplatin well. I had carbo/taxol my first line of treatment and it recurred in 6 months so idk what to do.

    I'm so sorry for what you've been going through, with the cisplatin. I'm praying that the change in drugs will result in tolerable side effects and help you kick cancer's butt!

    Don't worry about grammar etc., just check in with us whenever it's possible for you. I'm sure that they'll get the chemo combo right so you can more easily tolerate it. Hang in there, tough girl!

    You have really been through the mill,dear! I have had you on my mind a lot and I always check the Ovarian boards when I check my uterine board. Got kind of worried about you! Hope they dig deep into their chemo bag of tricks and find something you can tolerate AND make you well! Please let us know how you are when you feel up to it. Best, Debrajo

    starting to feel a bit better, last night i woke up literally choking on vomit(sorry if thats to graphic) this cisplatin is just so hard on me, I told them I didnt tolerate it last time with the BEP so I was suprised they reccomemended it again. My face has started breaking out and I looked in the mirror today and saw for myself that i do look sick. Today they told me Im nutripenic and anemic and have low plalets. that was to be expected but they said Ill probably be in hear another week or 2?? Today was the first time I felt well enough to order dinner and the kitchen forgot about me:( Luckily my loving sister is making a trip up to kfc for some mashed pototos.
