Residual pain....

in Kidney Cancer #1
I had full RN surgery on 07/17/12. I've been doing very well since.
Very little unmanageable pain. I was off all pain meds by the afternoon of 07/18/12 & home by 07/19/12.

I have developed a new area of 'shooting' pain away from the incision site, which isn't a constant occurrence, but only when I move certain ways, get out of a chair, and it lasts for a brief moment.

Has anyone else experienced something like this?

    Adman,

    You just had major abdominal surgery 11 days ago. The aches and pains you descibe are part of the initiation. Everybody has them a little different. If you ars concerned follow up with your doctor as occasionaly these aches and pains could be of significance.

    My Pain
    During my recovery i had this pain on the on the right side of a males most prized possesion,it hurt so much i had trouble walking thought my sex life might be in jeapordy,it took about a month before the pain subsided so give it some time.

    Sounds like epiditimitis sp?, have the Urologist check it out.

    You are correct
    It was determined thru the utra sound to be some inflamation related to a small case of epidimitis so yes iceman you hit a home run on that.
