Chemo Hangover!
Amazing the terms we now use that meant nothing to us before cancer or something different
Chemo Hangover
Chemo Brain
Chemo
Infussion.. was something that the Janpanese Restaurant did, or the garlic in the olive oil
scan was done to picture to upload to facebook
Pump was how the gas got in my car
Onc was that symbol from Logans Run
Bottle what I hit when I was down or on the weekend
I think this is fun.. can you think of any others.

so happy everyone was so taken by this.. I bet there are more we haven't yet thought of..
appliance was a toaster.. not my colostomy bag system
stem was part of a flower not the cell
I always thought of a pick as a tool to break up dirt now I think of a picc as an IV line.
I used to think Foley was a pretty common last name. Now it I know it is a catheter that goes. Well i am sure you all know where it goes. LOL.0 -

When I was getting radiation, one of the young techs was embarrased as my nakedness. I told her its a good thing she isn"t a nurse
because she might have to catherise a man. LOL0 -

When I was going through radiation a friend gave me several pair of boxers to wear. My favorites were a black pair with red hearts that said "I'm too sexy for my shorts" and women's pair that were pink with little piggies holding hearts all over them. The boxers always gave the rad team a good chuckle.0 -

I've posted before that I make up names for different drugs etc, mostly the better to remember the names. Such as Rhino in a tea can for Ironitecan , Wheatbix (Victibix) and of course the first thing that comes to mind with 5-FU is five fluffy unicorns. I also refer to my pump as Lt. Worf (it's a Klingon after all) and my port as a Borg feeding device.
I also like to have someone write messages on my body for my treatment team (I'm sure the message about the Toxic Tushie is on here somewhere.) Today, I asked the exam nurse to write on my chest an arrow pointing to the port and the message "Insert brain mush here." And somewhere in this town, there has to be a place to get t-shirts made up so I can get on that says "Chemo-brain is contagious: you get it from you oncologist."
Ok, taking off the red, rubber clown nose now. It's hard breathing with this thing on!0
