Now live in Toledo, Washington...an hour north of Portland and two hours south of Seattle.
I was born and raised in Sacramento and have lived in Elk Grove for over 24 years. I visited Washington state once, specifically Seattle, and enjoyed it immensely.

Awwww a New Yorker. Where do you go for your treatments. I went to Highland Hospital. My doctor is out of Strong.....
I had my second son at Strong when I lived in Pittsford. I get my infusions at Crouse, in Syracuse.

Hi Vanessamood
My husband is from Maine so we go thee every summer (except this one). Ironicaly I ws in Maine when I had the first bad pain landed me in the ER for my cysts...
He is from outside of Agusta Me. We camp up on the ocen by the Pemaquid Point lighthouse. We stay at a great place in New Harbor. 800' walk to the beach from the campground. It is in new harbor. Down past the booth bay region. I love the little town of Damariscotta. Not sure if I spelled that right.
Are you familiar with that area
We live about 30 miles going east of Augusta One of our favorite places is the Pemaquid lighthouse and the ocean scene from there. Damariscotta is not far from here. It is a unique town..go to my doctors in Portland. I have one more treatment and then I will be glad to be done too. The best to you.0 -

where do I live?
Hi everyone, especially Vanessa, I live in Maine too. I live in Woolwich. It is on your way to Portland, if you take route 1. I also sing and act at the Boothbay Playhouse. I am performing tomorrow, Friday and Saturday in "Thank You For The Music". If you are in the area come by and say hello after the show.
I also volunteer at the American Cancer Society's branch at building 81 on the road leading do
wn to Midcoast Hospital on Wednesday afternoons. Maybe we can get together sometime?
I'm glad that you are almost done with your treatments.
I never post because it's been almost three years since I had ovarian cancer but I read the discussion board every week. I go for a gyno cancer check-up every six months. so far everything is ok. My CA-125 has been rising slowly but nothing to worry about yet.
Hope to hear from Vanessa soon, get better everyone, Kelly0 -
Good question!forme said:We are close
Hi Karen
I am just north of you, right by Stanford. It's nice to have a "neighbor". Hope you are feeling a bit better today. My fears are creeping in more and more.
Take care
Lisha
I live in San Jose, CA for about 20 years. Forme, we are really close by, would love to have chance to meet for a cup of coffee! Great to know where are all the nice and brave ladies!!0 -
Florida, anyone?
Born and raised in Austin, TX. Lived in San Francisco for one year as a newly-wed. Moved to Vancouver, B.C. for 15 mos. while in grad school. Spent two years in Hamburg, Germany (my husband is from there) where my son was born. Back to Austin, daughter born, got a divorce after 23 years of marriage, moved to Boca Raton, FL. - been here since 1991.
Looks like ovca has no geographical boundaries.
Cheers, Jo0 -

I wish I could come visit you. As a fourth-generation Japanese-American, I have Japan on my "list" of places to visit. With 34 years (!) of Japan-living under your belt, you probably know more than I do about things Japanese.
Take care,
Kelly0
