I am a 50 y/o female who was diagnosed with kidney cancer through a yearly physical(very lucky). I had a partial removal of a two centimeter tumor in my kidney through robotics. I am almost 5weeks out. Recovery has gone very well, but in the last few days I have been so exhausted, feeling like I could sleep all the time. There is still some soreness in my side, but not bad. I also feel a lot of pressure in my lower abdomen. Negative for a UTI. And I also have been having many hot flashes. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced these symptoms. Thanks.

    Fatigue...
    Hi Pacer,

Welcome to the club, wasn't that initiation a blast? You are very lucky it was caught so early. Fatigue is a pretty common complaint following the surgery, in some cases it has been attributed to B12 deficiency or anemia, if it doesn't clear up soon you may want to call your doc and have it checked out. Can't help ya with the hot flashes, that's a new one here I think.

    Welcome
    Pacer412,

Welcome to our club. You just had major surgery so you will feel aches and pains for a few months. Be sure to follow up with a doctor if they raise concerns. At 2 cm you should have a full and complete recovery. I am not even going to touch the hot flashes.
