Oh Katie.....
Waiting and dreading is absolutely the hardest part about cancer....finding out I DID have it was better than dreading the words. Sending a ton of positive thoughts and prayers with you....will be tucking you in my pocket for this day....warm and safe.

Katie,
Sorry about the waiting anguish, it can’t be helped. I am hoping and praying for a good outcome from all of this.
Best,
Matt
Katie ...if you get this post ...tell me what time tomorrow (I am on Mountain Time) your scan is ....
As for wishy washy...I find your posts and your comments as strong ...but I also know what you mean ...I was too scared ...very scared many times, many days ..and even now I have my days I "wonder" what that pain is or that "feeling" is ...it's always in the back of our minds.
With you tomorrow Katie ... with you !!!
Best,

Everyone wants to go toLaralyn said:We're all afraid...
...sometimes. I'm afraid, too and I bet we all are, periodically. We're dealing with scary, life-changing stuff here so don't beat yourself up.
I'm thinking of you!
Heaven but nobody wants to Die is one of my favorite songs. Why because its just that simple we are not ready its just that we all know its coming one way or the other and the ones on this blog face that reality coming from cancer. For some it was indeed the end result but as you have read many many survivors on this site and they all had to go thru the anxiety of did we get it or not. I was thinking the same thing today although Im not but half way thru. But I know when Im done with this very tough treatment plan we will simply put me on a table take some pictures and we will know one way or the other if it worked. Wow thats tough, so many have posted that all was well and as many of our fears in life it was unfounded. But we are human, so we pray you will be NED its the least we can hope for after the fight we have to go thru. We are told to not FEAR its all under control, its just some of us (me) have a hard time letting the control go. You be be fine, thats my Prayer.0 -
Stable disease ...more than I could ask for !
Thank you all !
I have no changes in 7 months....hurray for our side ! Will be watching every two months until I reach a year, and then every 6 months ! No this is not NED yet...but more than we anticipated. My doctor is very optimistic and reassurring. I do have to get a better diagnois from the pathologist...was very fague from the beginning, and I did point this out to my onc. He will clear this up...thank god ! With adcc, there are specific histology....cribform, tubular, or solid. (or a combination) I pointed out on the first biopsy, and surgical biopsy they were calling it adcc...but no mention of why. If this is adeno...not adcc, better outcome period ! Thank you all once again for your support, warmest regards ! Katie0 -

Wait..did I read that correctly????patricke said:NEDS HOPE
Hey Katie, here's wishing the best report of NEDS for you. I've been going through periodic tests for a lot of years, and I am always nervous, to say the least, about each report. Again, I hope for a NED's report for you.
PATRICK
So, you are saying you heard back from the doctor and your cancer is STABLE? and that is a good thing? Is that correct?
If so...then I am one very happy man for you!!!!! Now to be honest, I don't undertand the word "stable" but if I am to take a stab at guessing correctly it would be this: most times ADCC is not good and hard to treat (you said in an erlier post rads will not work for you, I assume due to previous rads) so for you to get a "stable" report is actually very good thing. (that is not a question but a statement).
Well ...yahoo!! Please do keep us posted..I'd love to hear more about this whole stable thing from you...but suffice to say really happy for you Katie
I'm thanking the good Lord for this report now!!!!
Best,

Katie, I've also been diagnosed with Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma. What is the difference b/t adeno and Adcc? Just curious? As you know, there isn't a ton of info on our cancer and I'm very young (27) so I'm always looking for a brighter side to this whole situation. I'm so glad you got a good report! I hope you have many more to come!0 -

Katie, I've actually read akatenorwood said:sent u some....

Katie, I've actually read a little on both of those sites before. Thanks for sending the info. I try not to read that much though because almost all the information seems so hopeless, as if it's not a question of when our disease will come back but when. I do like what one of the cofounders says when she says that she plans to watch her boys grow up and start their lives and one day be sitting in a rocking chair when she's old. I sometimes get angry with friends of mine when they are approaching 30 and they start talking about how getting old is so terrible. I hope I get the chance to be an old woman. I know if that's God's plan for my life, but I can always hope....0
