Let me welcome you to this site. I know, like all of us you wish
you did not have to be here. You will find tons of support on this site. There is nothing worse than having to fight an insurance co. about your needs. Hopefully the Drs. can get it pushed thru for you. So far I have not had to much trouble with the insurance co.,except for their paying bills on time. It does get straightened out after hours on the phone. I do not know what to tell you about the diagnosis because they are not really sure what it is. You and your Drs. are going to have to keep pushing for the PET Scan. I know you are doing what you can and it is frustrating. Others here will reply shortly and hopefully they can point you in the right direction. John0 -
Welcome...
Hi,
Sorry to hear about the problems with insurance coverage, or lack there of, but if you haven't already done so, talk to your primary care doctor and explain your situation. Have you talked to the folks at DSHS(Dept of Human Health Services) in your area? You might want to call your local chapter of the American Cancer Society, as I know they have means of connecting folks in your situation with the right people. Please come back and let us know what you find out once the PET scan is done. I'll keep you in my prayers.
Best wishes...Sue (Follicular NHL-stage3-grade2-typeA-Dx 6/10-age 61)0
