53 years of age. PSA 9.2 Gleason 3+4. 60% of 12 cores positive in biopsy. DRI can feel lumps on left side of prostate. All this diagnosed in April 2011.

Had IMRT in Aug-Oct 2011, then BT in Nov 2011.

Recent post exam on 5 March 2012 - everything feels good with DRE. Still some slight reduction in flow but Flowmax helping. PSA result is 0.7!!!! I guess my treatment is working.

    Back to the normal routines
Counting with the fingers this PSA is 4 months post treatment. You are on your way to the Zeros.
    Congratulations.

I wonder if you had any other side effect. The urine flow may be due to restriction at the urethra. Hopefully the symptom subsides and you return to your usual routine.

    Regards.

    7 month PSA result
Just had my 7 month check-up. PSA = 0.4, down from 0.7 in March. I'm sure I wont get to zero, but I'll take what I have.

Last month started having burning while urinating. Doc says maybe late RT side effect. Taking phenazopyrid to help pain, but turns urine bright orange/red. No sign of infection and Ultrasound showed I am emptying bladder. Hopefully will get better.

    Yet another successful result
YES, ........ you are on your way to a nadir.

Nobody can tell what will be your Zero. You still got a prostate in place producing some of the stuff. The most important is a continuous decline followed by a stable plateau.

    Congratulations on the results.

    New Update
Latest PSA in early Sep 2012 = 0.2 One more 3 month test and then will start checking on a yearly basis. My burning went away as mysteriously as it started and now I am pretty much back to where I was before diagnosis. I had no symptoms then and none now. My goal was the least invasive procedure with the least amount of complications. So far so good.

Good luck to everyone in your battle.
