Bleeding gums anyone?

I may post this on a few boards to see what response I get as to this scary and troubling symptom...

Over the past few days, some new and troubling symptoms have shown their scary face... One, not so new, but making its presence known more is the very large lymph node on my neck, immediately below my left ear (in that space just behind the jaw but below the earlobe) it has been there for months, smaller, but hard and firm. Now, it is the size of a large marble. It does not hurt itself, but my neck is becoming sore I've realize, from holding me head funny now when I sleep trying to get comfortable with it. The second scary symptom, and this is in the last two days... my gums are bleeding. Like REALLY REALLY bleeding with pieces of tissue coming off in patches! I was just at the dentist two weeks ago and he gave me a PERFECT score on my dental exam, no gingivitis, nothing, nada! Said I have perfect teeth and people like me put guys like him out of business! So, I know this can't be sudden gum disease! What in the world is it? Anyone else experience something like this? Perhaps I should make a separate post about that to ask? Its tremendously scary!

    I posted this to
I posted this to someone(maybe you), but I had the same gum problems along with the tissue in the inside of my mouth turning into blood-filled blisters. My dentist told me it was a low or failing immune system. That was 6 months before I got my UPSC cancer dx. Not saying your is cancer at all, maybe just a weak immune system. Best, Debrajo

Thank you ladies for the replies!

Debrajo, it was me who had previously asked about mouth symptoms leading to diagnosis. The horrendously bleeding gums with severe severe gum tissue peeling was new and scary! Thankfully after a few days it seems to have passed, though my gums remain tender and swollen.

Anne, many thanks for your response. i have not been diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer...just hear while going through the process of being potentially diagnosed and awaiting surgery. I have a very scary family history of this disease as well as Breast Cancer. So I've been coming here to ask questions about things and everyone has been very helpful and patient with me.

    Get tested for EVERYTHING
Get tested for EVERYTHING you can! If I could have found a dr. to do a hysterectomy when I first started having real problems, I wouldn't have UPSC! My mother is a 26 year brest cancer survivor(ER+ with lympe node involvement) and my father died at 57 with small-cell lung cancer as did HIS father, but my feeling something was wrong fell on deaf ears! It may be expensive as all get-out, but peace of mind is PRICELESS! Best, debrajo
