Something to think about :)

I thought I'd share this native American story - simple and
true:

A native American grandfather was talking to his grandson about how he felt. He said 'I feel as if I have two wolves fighting in my heart. One wolf is the vengeful, angry, violent one. The other wolf is the loving, compassionate one.' The grandson asked him, 'Which wolf will win the fight in your heart?' The grandfather answered: 'The one I feed.'

    Thanks Sue
    Thanks, Sue.

Been very hot here the past few days and a storm yesterday.
I got up real early this morning to deal with a yellow jackets' nest
under my front porch - the joys of summer ;). Didn't get stung
so I guess they were pretty dormant at around 5:00am :).

    Hugs,

    Jim

    Thank you Maggie...
    Hi Maggie,
I must admit, Lizzy has won my heart over like no other child. Of course I love "ALL" of my babies/2 sons and 2 other grands, but our precious Lizzy came at a time when I dearly needed something positive to give me hope. If you remember...I was told my son's wife was pregnant just minutes before being wheeled into surgery for my tumor biopsy. It was a really scary time for all of us, so the news of a baby coming truely shed some sunshine in an otherwise dismal atmosphere. The following months of treatment were made much easier knowing in May (2011) this precious little girl was coming. Oh my, Maggie..I was bound and determined to make it through whatever was thrown at me so I could be whole and strong for her arrival. And...I am strong and couldn't be happier. I so love having her 3 days a week and spending the quality of time I'm blessed to have with her. I laugh hard and often, which can only be good on all levels! Poo poo, on cancer....I live each day like there is no tomorrow. I'm glad you enjoy me sharing her pictures...more to come, no doubt! ha!
    Love ya Maggie...Sue

    No no no!

    No way John,
Been there done that with both sons and the 2 older grandkids. Lizzy's dad and mom will have the honor to teach her to drive...not gramma. I'll be on the sidelines cheering, instead of clutching the dashboard and putting on the imaginary passenger side brakes!!! I still can't figure out how Steve got out of teaching all of the kids to drive...probably was fishing... ha! Sue

    La La Land
    Dear Sue,

I have to agree with you. yes, yes and yes. I am so glad your son told you the good
news before surgery. To have hope of a new life coming, and the happiness it brings,
is the reason you did and are doing so well. Yes, I remember all your posts about
about the up and coming birth, and you sharing the good news online. What I don't remember,
is your son telling you the good news before surgery.

When Lizzy is older, I know you will tell her how special she is. How her birth
brought sunshine and hope into your life. Of course you love all the other grand-kids.
But, the fact is, her birth and the 3 days a week with her, keeps you going.

Oh, love you too. Love Maggie
