Wishing you a speedy and uneventful recovery
Hi Phil and Dianne:
We are wishing you a very speedy recovery. I know that today you are hurting in places you didn't know you had. Don's surgery was March 22 and March 23 and 24 were very painful days for him. It was amazing that a week later he was ready to come home. It sure is a tough surgery and recovery, but you can do it. Baby steps are so important with this one.
We'll be waiting to hear how well you did. Our best to you and Dianne!
Hugs and FEC,

Phil, By now I hope you're
Phil, By now I hope you're running laps around the nurses station on your floor of the hospital and cant wait to get out of there and get home. The recovery is tough but like anything else in life worth doing the more you put into it the more you get out of it. So, when the Doc says walk 10 laps do 11 or 12. Always strive to do more than the minimum the Doc is asking you to do and you will be surprised by how quickly your recovery goes and how quickly you are back to feeling "normal". I'm not advocating overdoing it. Listen to your body and exercise common sense and follow your Doc's limitations. The price of doing to much to soon isn't one you want to have to pay, believe me. I don't know who your surgeon was but if he is anywhere near as good as mine, who was trained at UM, you were blessed to have some of the best possible surgical talent around. Remember, attitude is so important in recovery. Your job is to help your medical team and your family help you recover!
Continued good health and a rapid and successful recovery,
Dave0
