Taking A Count: (of pain)
Do you have pain elsewhere?
Did you have chemo or rads, or both or none?
Does medication take away your pain?
---
I have a lot of pain deep in my right hip and some pain in my right wrist, but only when I twist it like when removing a bottlecap. I had a masectomy on my right breast. I used to have a pain in my upper left arm so bad that I couldn't lift my arm above my waist; it finally subsided after a few months. (Nothing on x-ray or ultrasound to account for the pain.) Also, a pain in my neck right after chemo but it too has gone away. I had both chemo and rads. The oncologist refuses to prescribe any meds for my hip pain. But I have an appt. with my primary care soon.
Myself, I found it somewhat humorous that I had a pain in my butt and a pain in my neck at the same time!!! But nobody else could see the funny in it - ah well if you can't laugh at yourself once in awhile..!
How about you?

Hips/wrist/arm No.
Upper
Hips/wrist/arm No.
Upper back pain but it is from artthritis that has been there for a lot of years though it has gotten worse. I take Etodolac twice daily to keep it under control pain-wise almost all the time (have vicodin in case I do too much and it hurts - had to take some last night as mowing 2 1/2 acres of weeds with a push mower was a bit much and it was hurting last night - today's fine.)
I did 4 DD A/C neo-adjuvant and 12 Taxol adjuvant. 25 rads and burned VERY bad.
I do occasionally have some 'aches & pains' from old injuries but OTC Tylenol handles them.
We are each so different. I have a very high pain tolerance for many things (not head aches - but then I very seldom ever have a head ache). I've been very active all my life in a lot of 'stuff' where injuries are not uncommon, so you learn the 'tough it out' ('cowgirl up') and deal with it if you want to compete.

Yes I have pain in my neck left side, right wrist, right hip and a bit in the groin area,
I have had a soft tissue scan on my neck, nothing, I take flexeril, and it helps a little but
the pain is still there, I go to see my Onc on the 28th and I'm going to ask him to check my markers and see whats up.
I lost 15 pounds in the last two and a half months, I hope its just because its hot.
I did like your funny about the pain in your neck and butt LOL, I guess I could use that two.
Take care...Karie0 -

@ Karie - hey I found your 15 pounds plus quite a few more if anyone else has lost any?!! Unfortunately, it seems finders keepers! LOL
I wish I could lose all this extra weight I've managed to acquire. Until I began being treated for breast cancer I used to weigh about 105 pounds, always. Could eat anything and everything and still be the same size. But, now OMG I weigh like 148 pounds and each time I get weighed it seems to be creeping ever higher. I dunno but I have my suspicions that being slammed into a chemically induced menopause might be one of the culprits! Well, I'd like to blame it on that anyway!
Thanks all for your input!

I did chemo ,rads and been on femara for the past 3 mo and I have horrible joint pains in both my knees, lower back and left hips and thigh ( it hurts to move a certain way, sleep or sit to long)...I had a bone and pet scan about 6 mo ago and other thane a "bone" scare ( they thought I might of had bone cancer to my left femur but it turned out to be a bengin tumor which they call a boney island) and having a disc bulge with dengerative disease to the L 5/s1 everything was good ....I also had a bone density scan and come to find out I have osteoporosis ...the pain started getting really bad about a month after starting femara...so im going to say that could be the culprit to my joints pain0
