Welcome!
and, of course, so sorry that you are a member!
You can read my history for background, but my docs have said that with a less aggressive CRC (and 2 years clean scans is that; I was 1 year) there is a greater ability to manage the things that pop up (of course depending on where they are). Hopefully this is the case with your lung thingie.
all the best, Leslie0 -

Well thanks for the hopeful news. By the way, how/where do I enter my history?0 -

Welcome to the forum...
YoVita (or welcome back might be more accurate). Sorry to hear you've been "upgraded", but hopefully you can have a quick surgery and get things cleared back up again. I've had several surgeries over the last couple of years to remove little things that popped up; having only one spot to deal with is really pretty manageable...although I'm sure it must have been a big disappointment after two years clear. Keep us posted on how you're doing. Sending strength your way-Ann0 -

Hey back at you. I should clarify that my ctscan only shows one met. I'm having a petscan on Tuesday to see if there's more. Then time for decisions - just surgery, chemo or ? Hoping for just the one.0 -

Welcome back. I am sure you did not want to come back.
My favourite saying is... one day at a time.....
Waite what the pet/scan will tell you and then make a plan of action to get this thingy under control.

Hello, I had anal cancer and completed tx on 6-30-09, then on 9-23-10 I had my lower right lung lobe removed via vats due to a 1 cm lung nodule. They biopsied it right in the OR before proceeding to remove the lower right lobe. The results were squamous cell without hpv, whereas, the anal had hpv, and therefore the lung cancer was not a metasis. I was a 35 year smoker before the anal cancer dx, at which time I quit.
There are a couple posters who have had the lung nodules that are mets zapped out with radiation. Phileg (Phil) is one, he will probably chime in. I hope this is just inflammation, and it will have disappeared. That has happened to me where there was a lung nodule and on the next ct scan it had disappeard.
I wish you the best. Lori0 -

Hey YoVita!
Hmmm... what is the proper greeting? After 2 years, you aren't a "newbie" to the group, but then, you are posting your first messages... so I think I'll just say, "Glad to see you posting!!"
Yes, I can only imagine the shocker that finding would have been when, after 2 years you thought you had this monster beat. Grrrrrrrr! But, the battle is nowhere NEAR over... you just have to get yourself prepped for battle, starting with what the scans are going to tell you and whether you are dealing with one nodule or a bunch of them. That's what makes everyone so unique... no two cases are the same so the plan of attack can be different for everyone.
Try not to jump to far ahead of yourself and speculating what is in store for the future. One day at a time, one hurdle at a time. If you look at it that way and only deal with the current problems, then it's not as big a battle as trying to fight all the "what ifs" before they happen, if they are even going to happen
Hang in there... you have the right attitude!!

... to take one day at a time. I'm a great ruminater-bad and planner-good. So I need to just focus on the now until I get more news. I've read your postings over the years - love your new hairstyle!0 -

Hehehe... the picture is a little dark, so the hair actually looks flattened. But hey, it's HAIR!! Absolutely amazing how us women put so much emphasis on hair, even when we know it's going to come back... of course , no one warned me at my tender age that it might come back totally slate gray!! OMG!! I just wasn't expecting that! I was expecting the possibility of curls, which it certainly came back in an abundance of, but slate gray?? Yikes!! Well, I left it while it was growing in... but every time I looked in a mirror I just started feeling older and older... and not in a pretty or attractive way. So the hair in this picture, I had gotten done at an Aveda Salon and it was a natural looking brunette. Much better! And it made me feel so much more like the age I was actually feeling Since this picture has been taken, it's still curly, but now I have it re-coloured and it's sort of a dark red with burgundy highlights... kind of hard to describe
But hey... I like YOUR hair!! Hmmmm... I don't think, at the moment, mine's quite long enough to get cut that way... I definitely need mine longer in the front, but for it to get the length in the front, it gets too long on the top and becomes too heavy. Oh the trials and tribulations we go through for hair But don't be surprised if I show up here one day with a similar haircut to you!!0
