Did surgery help most of your symptoms??

I am 40 yrs old. No ovarian cancer in the family. I have a complex minimally septated cyst on each of my ovaries. One is 8cm, the other is 7 cm. My symptoms are: massive abdominal ascites, constipation, indigestion, heart burn, slight nausea, constant dry mouth, excessive thirst, slight back pain, abdominal hernia, major gag reflex, frequent urination, warm-almost burning/tingly feelings in my underarm that leads into the breast (like my lymph nodes are fighting), no lymph swelling though. I am super curious if anyone that had their cysts removed and/or a hysterectomy or any surgery, felt relief of these type of symptoms??? Thanks!

    I don't think I can help you as my symptoms prior to surgery were different: on-and-off pelvic pain and abdominal bloating. My pre-surgery CT scan showed a baseball-size mass on my right ovary. My surgery included removal of the tumor, total hysterectomy, removal of omentum, and removal of a foot of my lower colon because the tumor had attached itself there. My pre-surgery symptoms disappeared once I had my surgery.

    Are you scheduled for surgery?

    I had similar symptoms
    before surgery. I had a total of 8 liters of fluid removed two separate times. I looked like I was about 7 months pregnant which was really odd since I was 62. I had mild indigestion, bloating and was really not eating or drinking much in the final two weeks before my diagnosis.

    I had three rounds of chemo prior to debulking surgery which eliminated all my symptoms. Once I got through the chemo I felt great in the weeks before surgery even though the cancer was widespread.

    I recuperated pretty quickly from surgery and then had more chemo which was in many ways the hardest part for me. I was hospitalized twice.

    I think each of our stories though linked by the common thread of ovarian cancer have many similarities and differences as well.
