Finally teeth are working....
Might sound goofy to some who aren't in this position....but last nite at a wedding reception, I wore my dentures. I was hungry but teeth never worked to eat with. What to do...take 'em out no way. So I tried and it worked....I was so happy ! Maybe I'm finally getting past the lyphedema ! Also danced...which is no easy feat to do with crappy lung funtion that will never improve. No I didn't do the funky chicken...just nice slow dances....it was so beautiful I cried through first couple ones. Life really can be good to us hunh ? Katie

Sounds like a lovely time, Katie!
LOL...Noooo, I supose at a wedding reception, you can't just take your dentures out and slip them into your pocket...ha!
When I first got Dx'd, and learned more about the side effects of rads, my biggest fear was that I have to take my dentures out for an unknown period of time...that for me would be an end of seeing anybody but close family...no kidding...no grocery store, or drugstore...no going anywhere but to the Dr.'s and rads with a sheet over my head. It never came to pass...what a relief!!
I'm glad you took a few whirls around the dance floor...it's gotta be great for the soul...I dance you guys around my kitchen, regularily...

Oh Phrannie,
I go everywhere without my teeth....just wanted to look nice for a change...not 20 yrs older than I am. And yes I have been known for ducking in a restraunt and pulling them when I can't stand the pain...LOL ! I will take your advice and try dancing in my kitchen, and anywhere I can. Thank you for your wonderful reply ! Katie0 -

I see the peridontist in a few weeks. Having some issues with decay in the bone. Only know what the future holds for my teeth. I have had so much work done over the years, really do not like sitting in that chair.
I am going to a wedding in 3 weeks, hope that I will have as much fun.
Teeth were the first thing that my mom used to take out when she got to my house, you don't mind do you? No mom!0 -
