Exercise
I exercise every day,I have a series of 7 I do 10 of each day.. I'm constantly twisting and stretching my neck. I also, do my exercises to strengthen my vocal cords many times a day...I'll just burst into song..MMMMMaaaaaaaaaa, etc
I can't wait for the day the mucus, etc thet normally go to a node, finds a new route and I don't feel like I'm choking sometimes.0 -

Thanks for the reminder ! I was told and taught excersises shortly after resection, before rads started. Still having issues with lyphedema in jaw and neck. I do alot of stretching in the shower. And yes doing them will improve jaw function...though don't think I could do the flash light....maybe. AHHHH skunks...! Warmest regards Katie0 -

I am just one week into radiation and have been trying to do some but wondered exactly what ones you did to help. Want to be as proactive as I can. Thanks0 -

5 times to a count of five...then stretch my tongue out of my mouth, stretch forward...then each side holding for a count of 5. For your neck stretch (like you're going to lay your head on your shoulder) to the left, hold for 5....then the right....then forward...hold all for count of 5. Then roll your head three times to the left, then three times to the right (these neck exercises are very relaxing too...you'll hear all the little cracks and grinds from tension being released).

they gave me a stack of tongue depressers to exercise with all thru treatment. they seemed to work very well. bill0
