I know i keep whining about dry throat but it is almost becoming inpossible to handle. It is so dry it almost feels like someone is scratching my throat with a glass in one area on righht side (my salivery gland is remoed from right side).

I keep coughing becuase of the dry throat. I have zero mucous, a little mucous will help.

Most of the dry mouth stuff stings on my tongue only thing that does not sting is stoppers 4 but that is not a big help in throat.

Even drinnking water sips is not help at times.

Any ideas that can help me with this?

Thanks,
Sam

    Sam....maybe whole milk?
I have the same dry throat, and persistent dry cough....it makes me crazy. Milk gives my throat and mouth the illusion that there is something wet there....stops the cough, and lets my tongue slide easily in my mouth for a while. I drink it along with all every ensure, and Instant Breakfast...and by itself. It has taste, and it coats.

I've been going thru a 1/2 gal every other day.

    Ya, what Phrannie says...
Water just makes my throat dryer. Tea is too acidic. I drink milk all the time. So happy I'm not lactose intolerant.

PS....when milk is right out of the refer
it's too cold for me....I let it sit for a 10 minutes, to get the ice cold effect gone...it's creamier, too...a littl warmed up.

    Yes milk seem to definately
Yes milk seem to definately work but i get gas with too much milk. I tried butter milk and that is good too...so driniking some of that.

My DH went looking for things and came home with a saline mist from wal greens which has a really big pointy sprout that is reaching deeper in the throat, that is helping a lot. It is saline mist for nose but i am assuming will be okay to spray in throat.

Pharannie and Deb, Thanks for supporting in my whining :). I know We have to go thru this phase but get frustrating at times.i

    Ok definately will give that
Ok definately will give that a try. Not sure if it tastes good with our taste buds gone, but worth trying.

    Thanks,

I'm going to give some of the other "milks' a
try, too, Sam....see if they produce more pretend spit, than cow's milk....
