My name is Alexandrea. Thank you so much for your prayers. They really mean a lot. How old is your dad if you don't mind me asking. I have read about people who have survived after several different combinations of chemo and medication. But I don't know enough just yet to really go into details. The more I read about it the less I feel I know. Yunus is in my prayers0 -

You are very, very young to be diagnosed with multiple myeloma, that is quite a shock. My husband has it, found out when he was 45, and that is considered young.
Don't you worry, you have a long life ahead of you. The advancements made in the past decade hold promise for a wonderful future for you on stage, singing your heart out.
If at all possible, I would seek out the advice of a multiple myeloma specialist, not just a regular oncologist. Because this is such a special type of cancer, you really need the see a doctor who works exclusively with this cancer. There are not a lot of them, but they are out there. Because you are so young, any of them would be intrigued to meet you.
Good luck.0 -

Diagnosed at 22
Hi Alexandrea! My name is D'Ann and I am a 22 year old girl who was diagnosed this January after breaking my back due to a plasmacytoma. The doctors did a spinal fusion surgery on my back and further tests revealed other lytic bone lesions. A bone marrow biopsy also confirmed myeloma cells present in the marrow. You are the first person I know of who is in their early 20's and has Multiple Myeloma too. I have found it very difficult so far to be able to relate to anyone with this cancer because most individuals are older. Please feel free to email me. I would absolutely LOVE to talk with you. buckaroo_21@hotmail.com is my email and I check it regularly. God bless you girl. We can fight this together and win0
