Hi,
Sorry to hear he has hit a little bump in the road. Perhaps it is a virus? When was his last scan? My mom had recurrance within months of surgery and her symptoms don't sound like your husbands. She started with back and abdominal pain. Keep us posted!0 -

Hi William,
Thank you for your advice.
Larry still works two jobs, and then pushes himself to mow and keep going when he comes home. He has always been a workaholic. It just is more then ever.My friends say it is his way of pushing through the pain, because even with no energy and feeling sick and being in pain, he still keeps going.
Larry was going to the oncologist every 3 months the first year, for blood work and a CAT scan. Now he is going every 6 months, the last one was in Feburary and the CAT scan was normal. He goes in every 3 months to get his throat stretched, we have discussed with his gastoroligist and the oncoligist several times that he has adominal pain all the time after eating, and they just prescribe medicine. The doctors we see are at St. Vincent hospital out of Portland Oregon, we haven't seen the surgeon except for his 3 month check up after his surgery.
Larry ate very little after his surgery because of the pain in his lower intestinal area every time he ate, and in the last few months he doesn't eat very much because he isn't hungry he says, I still make him eat.
Through all of this I have stayed positive and think how lucky I am to have him here, and hope he will be around for 20+ years, but in the last two months I see signs and feel like this is the time to spend with him traveling and making memories. Our last one of 5 just graduated and heads to OSU in Sept. so I have already started making plans to travel. I am not trying to be miss negativity, but want this time just in case.
Monday I will be calling to get more test done and also insist on a PET scan, I really do thank you for your advice, it was well needed and confirmed that I am not being a worry wart.
Thank you,
