Lips peeling

Hi to all....
Just wondering if anyone's lips peel My dads lips will shed like a snake shedding his skin...only somedays.. It is soo strange.
Has anyone experienced this?

    my lips would do that when i
    my lips would do that when i was younger if i used cheap lipstick. really weird. carmex was the only thing that made it better. tell your dad he needs to use better lipstick. ;oD

    I use aquaphorr lip repair
    I use aquaphorr lip repair by eucerin and that has been working. You have to keep putting it on all day. I also use eucerin 3 day night repair to put at night time.

    I've had really good luck with Burts Bees
    lip balm..too

    I appreciate the comments...I did get the caramex for him I forgot about it. Thanks ... Just so strange I have never seen lips peel like this.

    Hello !
    Yes I have this too. I have ACC, and had all my teeth extracted before neck resection. I use lip balm, but most important is staying hydrated. I carry balm and water everywhere I go. Does he have issues with dry mouth ? Can get over counter rinse for this. Hope this helps....regards, Katie

    It Creeped Me Out
    My lips peeled a lot during part of treatment. I kept balm in my purse, on the desk, at work, in my coat pocket . . .

    Yes he has dry mouth issues but they are slightly improving. My dad is 7months post chemo and radiation so some things have gradually started to get better but I find the lip peeling thing sooo strange. He is still on the peg and is starting to drink more by mouth so hydration is an issue.
    The food still chokes him and I am waiting for the ENT to call with the results of his last swallow study to try to find put what the problem is
    He as dilated once but they are saying they think now it is a spasm somewhere. Hopefully I will know more today.

    It definitely creeps my dad
    It definitely creeps my dad out he says it all the time...he is the one who told me I shed like a snake. Soooo strange.
