I have to say my number one is spending time with my grands (Kira 4 / Cole 2). I never seem to get enough of them. Kira says I'm her best friend....just melts my heart!
Love to read but don't read as much as I used to....due to FaceBook of course.
I'm addicted to the games Flowerz on MSN.games. I have to play it at least once a day!

I love to read and that has saved me lately, when I haven't been able to garden (love that too). Just finished Alice Hoffman's "The Dovekeepers." Has anyone else read it? I thoroughly enjoyed it. Like Carol, I read most anything, but I prefer fiction.
Thanks for a fun thread!

I can't tell you everything or I might get arrested. LOL
I love being outside! I spend a lot of time working in my flower gardens. I have so many now that it is hard to keep up with them. I keep threatening my husband that we may have to hire a gardener to help me. His reply is " We may have to get rid of some of the flowers.". I didn't laugh....
We both actually work hard outside as we live on several acres and there is always something to do, but, we enjoy being together doing anything, even work.
I love to shop and always have so much fun going with my girlfriends and even my husband. Lunch is always on the list besides the power shopping. LOL
There are so many things I enjoy, but like I said above..I don't want to get arrested by disclosing too much on this site. ~

Sue,
Well, we do not want you to get arrested, however really need to learn everything about your illegal activities at very secret place!
As much as we have been guessing, still cannot figure it out. Keep intriguing us. I love the game.0 -

What do I do when I'm not
What do I do when I'm not here? Hmm... let me see.
Well, God has blessed us with four kids. Two are way grown and married. And two came along later by adoption. A son, adopted at birth who is now twelve. Can't believe that. And a daughter who we adopted two years ago at the age of five. THAT'S been interesting! They keep me really busy, especially in the summer.
Aside from taking care of home and family, I LOVE to cook. I also do quite a bit of writing. I'm starting a writing class soon. May have to wait til the kids go back to school. We have a little veggie garden which isn't exactly flourishing here on the surface of the sun (southern Arizona Our family enjoys camping and fishing, going to movies, swap meets and yard sales and many church functions. We play board games and cards together all the time. We also like to do crafts. Well, me and my daughter do. The guys not so much. lol
So, with still having a family, I'm busy and tired but very blessed.0 -

Time with my husband and friends is precious. I garden too and am really enjoying this beautiful summer weather.
I read, but, not as much as I would like to. I am always looking for suggestions on any good book.
We go boating and swimming at the lake and have always enjoyed that.

When you say 'go to Nevada and play' - are you referring to the 'one armed bandits' or 'tables'? I love the penny slots - I'm. "Big time spender' - we went to Deadwood (SD) after the Crazy Horse Volksmarch on Sat. We were supposed to go fishing but as Hubby decided he wanted the all you can 'pig out on' crab claws at the Silverado so we went. He won't play but likes to sit and watch people so he gave me $20 to 'blow' and I did on the penny ones in about 2 hrs. They have 'online casinos' on almost evey corner here in town but I will not go in them - think it would be way to easy to get addicted to them. As I see it though, when we do actually go to Deadwood (2 or 3 times a year) if I 'blow' $20 or $30 having fun - that's really no different than going to a movie or bowling or whatever.

I love the penny and the keno machines, but most of all, I like going because when I am there, I don't have cancer:)) I get so into hitting those bonus's that it keeps my mind off of everything else. Sometimes I have been really lucky, other times not, but I play the minimum to make my money last longer!
I enjoy that every so often so much more than going out to dinner or the movies. It is about an hour and a half from here and there are a bunch of us girls, or I go once a month with my ex, but that drive gives us time to catch up. I think I enjoy that part as much as playing, but the deal is, when I go with the girls, we don't talk about my cancer. I have a wheelchair which allows me to get around the casino, and we usually get a room. It is my mental break!

I love learning new things, anything to do with textiles, sewing and decorating, love to cook, and I love to read. I fill my days with all of those activities. I also volunteer as a peer navigator for newly diagnosed cancer patients (giving back).
I'm pooped but happy

It's nice to take these little "breaks" from the world of cancer.
Yup, FB is on the list, BUT, my passion is being "Mo Mo" to my 2 favorite little guys. Who would have thought that playing cars on the floor, watching Toy Story for the 100th time and having popsicle parties would be the best thing!
Enjoy breaking bread with family & friends, walks, baking and road trips.
Unfortunately, I work in a large corporate company and have quite a few friends that have been diagnosed. When I was diagnosed, I recieved a basket of goodies from my friends. It felt so special to open up cards, notes & gifts of inspiration. Since then, I have put together "love boxes" for people that I know that have been diagnosed. I hope it's as special to them as it was to me.
The latest one is my own beautiful cousin, Stayce who lives in Germany, diagnosed 2 months ago. It's bittersweet. Although I love putting them together to help them, I've made way too many

I use to have a very active life not so many years ago.
Once upon a time, I was an avid gardener. Not only with my own gardens but it included some historical gardens. At this time of the year, I would be so busy with all the planting. My real love was flower and herb gardens. I did have a vegetable one when my children were young and was married.
I use to go dancing, swimming (local pool), walked every day (2-3 miles), and travelled. I loved going to museums, historical homes & gardens, and etc. I loved going to plays and in the summer, I made certain to see every local one.
Today, I work and that so exhaust me, that when I come home, I crash. I do what needs to be done at home. I can't walk without a lot of pain with the PTTD, bones spurs behind both knee caps and I am out of breath just doing absolutely nothing.
Reading both nonfiction and fiction books keeps me sane.

I like Alice Hoffman and read many of her books. I will look for it this summer at our public library, it sounds like a great read.

I also love to read. I also garden, run, walk, ride my bike, scrapbook, play with my cats, watch TV, tutor, cook, & sew. I volunteer a lot in my community also. This summer I am helping out with grandkids, too.0 -
