Of course Susie we are enjoying life
Working and walking, hiking, and cooking, talking with family and friends, watching movies and shows, traveling and reading laughing and crying, e-mailing and tweeting whine for longer days 24 hours is not enough0 -

Facebook, of course! Also spend lots of time outside in the summer ... it barely gets dark all night here! I still do sub teaching and volunteer work, camping , fishing, walking, reading and downhill skiing in winter I love taking ski lessons but decided not to try snowboarding ! Tourists are all here during fishing season in June and July ... nothing better than Alaskan salmon! Cancer stuff stays only on this board as family support is totally different than survivor support usually Anxious to hear others hobbies and interests ....... Sue D0 -

I am undergoing chemo again, every 2 weeks so when I feel up to it I paint....watercolors and oils...haven't done much lately....seems that just when I start to feel better it's time for another infusion....but I do what I feel up to....I also love to read...

Disney as much as I can. But
Disney as much as I can. But daily watch my grandsons (7 & 5 yrs ) my 2nd full time job with NO pay. They live with us/ mom works evenings..so I do speech lessons, baseball, birthday parties, home work etc etc 5 nights a week. (Pick up from 2 diff day cares daily)
but HOBBIES: when I can camp, walk, waterski, bike PLAN vacations...love to plan!

What I do...
Changes often...(still lots of doc appointments) and caregiver for sick husband, but always have time for family! Five kids and six grandkids some temporarily living with us. I also help sister-in-law at her boutique when time allows...fun, fun,...if ever in Milwaukee check out Bangles-n-Bags Boutiques (little plug there sorry, but it is way cool and she makes nice donations on the behalf of breast cancer as her sister is also a survivor). I love to be outside so do some gardening, walks, yard work, kid stuff at the park/beach. I also do yoga, and like to still think I'm the dance major I was 35yrs ago and so I dance (at home). I spend too much time worrying about my future but am working on that!0 -

I can't tell you everything or I might get arrested. LOL
I love being outside! I spend a lot of time working in my flower gardens. I have so many now that it is hard to keep up with them. I keep threatening my husband that we may have to hire a gardener to help me. His reply is " We may have to get rid of some of the flowers.". I didn't laugh....
We both actually work hard outside as we live on several acres and there is always something to do, but, we enjoy being together doing anything, even work.
I love to shop and always have so much fun going with my girlfriends and even my husband. Lunch is always on the list besides the power shopping. LOL
There are so many things I enjoy, but like I said above..I don't want to get arrested by disclosing too much on this site.

My Hobbies & Pastimes
Hi Susie09,
I enjoy going to church (sing on choir), spending time with family & friends, go to the local tavern(I now only drink fruit juice and ginger ale til chemo is over). reading, watching cable (love TBN),Trauma in ER, cartoons,crime shows, comedies. Facebook, FB games on Zynga: Cityville, hidden chronicles, words with friends,slingo, angry birds on phone. I love daytrips, theatre, going out to eat. bar-b-que. Will be doing arts & crafts at chemo. I may suggest starting a bookclub with your old books you no longer want. Yes, I read just that much. Reading is my way of a temporary escape. I might get on Twitter at some point.

spend time with family and friends, sew a little, cross stitch, go to Nevada and play, watch tv, go to rodeo's, go to California to see friends and family, I love fishing, only like to shop if I am going to buy something. I have been on weekly chemo for so long though, that a lot of my time is spent sleeping!
But when I am feeling good, I like to go, go, go.

I love to read and that has saved me lately, when I haven't been able to garden (love that too). Just finished Alice Hoffman's "The Dovekeepers." Has anyone else read it? I thoroughly enjoyed it. Like Carol, I read most anything, but I prefer fiction.

Since Carol is twisting my arm ( lol ) I will fill you in on some of what I do. As some of you might know or remember, I am very involved in raising money to help with buying clothes for the homeless which keeps me very busy. I have so many good hearted people that help, but, it seems there is always something for me to do. I love doing it! It makes me feel good to help out others that are less fortunate than I am, and, they are always so grateful. I spend a lot of time on the phone with generous people that simply need me or someone to come to their home to pick up items that they've bought to donate. ( good thing I like to talk on the phone )
I also garden like so many of you, flowers and a vegetable garden. We already have tomatoes on our plants ( not quite ready ) and can't wait for that first one on a BLT! Yum!
I love to paint, so, I am always painting something around here, inside or outside. I also help my friends out to paint rooms that they are redoing. I must do a good job because they keep calling me back. lol And, I usually get rewarded with a luncheon date or a bbq at their house for my hubby and myself.
My hubby and I walk a lot of evenings and just sit outside and take it all in. We also go riding a lot on his Harley which we have always loved!

I seem to spend lots of time
I seem to spend lots of time running my kids here and there, ballet, football, school, friends...I'm a reader too, mostly fiction. CC I will look for your recommendation. I also love to explore museums (history, art, science, etc) and just hang with family and friends.

spending time with my hubby, friends and family. Since the weather is nice now, I am outside a lot in my gardens too, or, just sitting on the patio soaking up some sun.
We love to have people over for cookouts, so, we do that a lot. Nothing better than good friends, good food and lots of laughs.
I love to cook, so, I get a lot of magazines and am always searching for new recipes to try. I don't like sweets that much, so, I don't bake a lot unless my hubby is wanting something.

When you say 'go to Nevada and play' - are you referring to the 'one armed bandits' or 'tables'? I love the penny slots - I'm. "Big time spender' - we went to Deadwood (SD) after the Crazy Horse Volksmarch on Sat. We were supposed to go fishing but as Hubby decided he wanted the all you can 'pig out on' crab claws at the Silverado so we went. He won't play but likes to sit and watch people so he gave me $20 to 'blow' and I did on the penny ones in about 2 hrs. They have 'online casinos' on almost evey corner here in town but I will not go in them - think it would be way to easy to get addicted to them. As I see it though, when we do actually go to Deadwood (2 or 3 times a year) if I 'blow' $20 or $30 having fun - that's really no different than going to a movie or bowling or whatever.
