Welcome, sorry you have to be here. You will find alot of support here. I am fairly new to the board myself but so far I have been so amazed at how helpful and supportive everyone has been.
Hi and welcome! I am sorry you found us too as a result of being diagnosed with bc. But, you've found a great supportive group here of pink sisters.
I haven't had any of the symptoms that you are having, but, I know that others that have will post to you.
Good luck and welcome again,
Megan0 -
Glad you signed on
You will be amazed at how supportive and educational the pinks here really are. The best part here is that it is a safe place to vent, and there is always someone who knows what you are going through and we really do understand the fears that go along with this disease. There is also a lot of good news such as grand babies, graduations, weddings, anniversary's, and lots of birthdays!
It is hard to stay positive all the time. I know I have days that are harder than others and when that happens, I have to look really deep to find something positive. If that doesn't help, I sleep or watch a funny movie. Whatever helps, because there is no getting around the fact that cancer really does suck.
I am glad you found this site, I know the kindred's have certainly helped me in my journey.

Welcome
This has been a great place for me... I too joined the group just last year. There are so many wonderful women on here, so feel at ease with your questions and/or thoughts.
As far as your bones... I would suggest to speak with your doctor about getting a bone density scan, if you haven't already. Then see about what vitamins, etc could help keep them strong.0 -
Welcome
As the others said, it is so unfortunate to meet this way but this site and these peole are the best!! I have only been here a couple months my self, but am also recovering from Anal cancer so have been on that one for over a year. The advice from people who have been through the same thing is as helpful in another way as the medical care we receive. No question is too small or too weird, someone here will have input. It is so nice to have a place to turn at any time of day with no appointment needed! I recently had a bone density test and am now taking Fosomax and Calcium with Vitamin D. I also just read an article about eating a few prunes everyday supposedly being able to not only prevent but help reverse bone loss. Who knows, but figure it can't hurt! Please continue to post....As always, all in my prayers.0 -
Welcome!
I'm glad you found this site! I joined in April and have found a lot of people with similar stories as mine and I don't feel so alone on this journey I'm on. There are so many caring and supportive folks on here - you can't find better.
I'm sorry you have had to even look for a site like this but I'm glad you found us! Keep on checking in and you'll find so much help and info.
Hugs and prayers for you!

Welcome
Sorry you had to come here. This whole cancer thing is such a crazy ride. Keep you chin up, try to think positive, and if you need it.....medicate...for sleep, anxiety, whatever.
Once you get further out of treatment you can look that situation over once more, but do what you can for yourself to feel better.
I didn't notice a change in symptoms with Tamoxifen, I am also chemopausal. Hot flashes were the main thing, starting during chemo and lasted through the period of time I was on Tamox. Just made sure I had fans whereever I was going, including in my purse (think Scarlet O'hara).
Good luck, hang in there, keep coming back here,

Hi mherrera79,
Welcome and I am sorry we have to meet under these circumstances. My pink sisters are the best, very supportive, intelligent with lots of wisdom. You have come to the right place and when you are down come here and your pink sisters will pick you right up. I have told others in my support group at my breast center about this site and discussion board. Yes, you will have your good days and not so good days, but remember ASAP (Always Say A Prayer). Prayer gives you the strength to endure and keep the faith. Myself and your new pink sisters will keep you in prayer. May God continue to bless you with many more birthdays!!!
Peace, Blessings, & Hugs,

Welcome to the best support group you will ever find. You will find the most amazing women (and a few men) here. I was diagnosed 1 year ago - finished 12 rounds of taxol and 35 rads. I am also still on Herceptin until August. I'm through chemopause - hate it! My onc prescribed Effexor for me and it has helped quite a bit with the hot flashes.

Yes hello and welcome! This is really the best support group I think anywhere. I had a lumpectomy, followed by rads, no chemo. I am very thankful that I did not need chemo.
I am sending you lots of hugs and lots of good luck.
