high cholestrol and triglycerides after chemo

No correlation here
Haven't had this problem but just wanted to let you know my husband's triglycerides were 1795 on a blood test and had nothing to do with chemo. Runs in his family. Sorry your post was lost and we appreciate your posts. You'll be in my prayers for better results. Good luck on the colonoscopy and keep us informed.

My cholesterol values the same as before chemo....
My cholesterol values are the same as they were before chemo but my blood glucose levels rose from the steroids they gave me in the chemo infusions. They are plummeting since I finished chemo but not completely back to normal at this point.
My colorectal specialist is so booked up that I cannot get my post-chemo colonoscopy scheduled until late June!

stating the obvious
I would look at diet change. I went with the zone diet. (It made sense to me. It is more of an attitude about food then a diet.) A balanced diet will bring all those issues back to normal fairly quickly. Can a pill really change one's metabolism, when their diet is actually causing the problem?
There is a great read called the Anti Cancer. It is about diet and research that has been done to combat cancer. It talks about many research projects that diet played a large part in cancer meds effectiveness.

Mike, I read and have this book. I watch my diet. Exercising more since I'm getting stronger. Both mom and dad have high cholesterol, could be genetics, coupled with not enough exercise. BTW while prepping for tomorrow's colonoscopy I used boudreaux's butt paste. Not even a tinge of burn. Will drink the second dose at 3:00 a.m. (movi prep split dose) since show time is 8:30. Thanks for all the caring. Will post results.
I haven't heard of the zone diet. Will Google it. I use the south beach protocol.
Thanks all!!!0
