Not good news

in Head and Neck Cancer #1
Jim went to the oncologist today for the CT results. There are several more nodules in the lungs and the one on the previous PET has grown. The doc is contacting the radiologist to see if a needle biopsy is possiblle. Any surgery is out Jim had two in the last 4 months). He says no treatment because it woulld kill him (it almost did the last time). We are to call on the 31st to find out what they decide about biopsy after consult with team.

I am not handling this well and started crying before we made it to the car. I felt so bad because I have been able to be strong for the two of us and have never broke down in front of Jim before. I am so scared of losing him. But I am not giving up. Please pray that it is nothing even though the oncologist isn't hopeful.

    I am praying for your hubby and you... I am so sorry to hear this. Sometimes we just need to stop and cry. You are strong woman and an excellent caregiver and I am praying for some kind of treatment for your hubby. That's right never ever give up... NEGU!!!

    I never gave up either, Just be there for him. I know how very hard it is for the both of you right now I have been down that road. You are in my thoughts and prayers!

    What a terrible blow. You must be terrified. I'm hoping something comes up to make treatment a more viable option.

    As for breaking down - you've been so strong for so long. Just because you cried doesn't mean you don't continue to be a very strong woman. I just hate that you have to be.
