Right pterygoid muscles
and inferior strap muscles I figure thats because they picked up the radioactive sugar solution because of late parts of my neck have been tender and sore when I lay down I am putting the pick up down to the pain.I am also putting the pain down to weakened muscles from Rad damage but not winging am yelling Yahoo


LOLHaha just saw who the radiologist Doc who did the report was I painted his house a few years back LOL

    Good news on the all clear.
    Interesting information on the muscles. We all get uptake in unusual and interesting areas. Another Head Neck patient I know had some distinct uptake in her throat and tongue. She admitted she had spent her pre-scan rest period yakking away at the patient in the bed next to her. No one had mentioned that she needed to stay quiet.

    So, were you stretching, or working out, as you waited for your scan?

    Wow - makes perfect sense that muscles you use before the scan are more likely to sop up some juice. I recall dozing off before one PET, and being afraid I'd get activity showing up in my brain. I thought it was funny that reading a magazine was OK, and dozing off was not.

    Great to hear your PET went well.
