I am crushed. One of my first thoughts when I was diagnosed was relief that I would not have to mourn the death of any of my five brothers or sisters, a small perk but it was important to me.
My older sister has died in a car crash coming home from working a twelve hour shift at her hospital. The accident investigators said she feel asleep at the wheel and never knew what hit her. A beautiful person who touched so many lives as a pediatric nurse in a poor section of South Carolina.
But she had a beautiful family with the youngest grandchild who will only know her thru stories of how wonderful she was.she was a sister who was always there for me,she loved everyone unconditionally.
My heart is broken and I just wanted to say even though this disease overwhelms us, take the time to love your family and friends.
Live, Laugh,Love not neccesarily in that order.

    Dear Colleen
    I am so, so sorry over the sudden, tragic loss of your beloved sister. Sometimes life just doesn't make any sense. I hope you are able to find some comfort in knowing that she did so much good and helped so many people and was a wonderful, loving person to all who were lucky enough to know her.

    Thank you for taking the time to remind all of us to not take our loved ones for granted and not to assume that they'll always be around for us. Live each day to its fullest.

    I am very sorry to hear that you have lost your sister. It is always difficult to think of why this would happen to such a wonderful person. My prayers and thoughts are with her family and your family. May God be with you all at this time.

    Colleen, it's obvious you loved your sister very much. My heart goes out to you as you deal with this tragedy in your family. You are right, we need to enjoy the friends and family God has put in our way. Life is too short not to.

    for your loss, Colleen. The fact that you took the time to include us in this most sorrowful time is a testament to the bond that we have with each other. I am so proud of all of you ladies and the way you face life each day. I will take to heart the reminder to make the most of each day. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

    Thank-you everyone for your kind words. I have been very lucky in life not to have experienced a loss like this until now. You are all my sisters also and just like I called my older sister for advice and to share things in my life, it is natural for me to come here to share my sorrow and hopefully my happiness also.

    thanks for sharing
    your loss with us. I have lost 2 brothers and one sister and I fell the loss all the time. Cherish the time you have now not tomorrow. My prays are with you. Kathy
