Matt
My prayers go to you and all on these boards! The teeth are gone now, so don't dwell on "what if".....it's done and go on....God will help you through the rest! Take courage!0 -
I'll be thinking of you today!
I know you'll get through it, and on the other side of all of this, you'll walk away cancer-free. Think about that when you feel your worst. Picture the cancer in your body, and envision the treatments scrubbing it off and leaving your skin clean and healthy. That's where you are going to end up!0 -

so far so good, my dentist did all nine last week and i had go go in monday to have a shard that he left removed, yesterday 1st chemo, only nightmares i have had so far are the ones leading up to the procedure. the procedures themselves not nearly as bad. Not questioning your pain, i know its real and hope the doc gave you some meds for it. I took my share for 5 days have the teeth were removed. Hang in there my friend/ prayers on there way from us all.0 -

You got the prayers Matt ...and you are doing the right thing for your wife and that little girl (I think you said you had a 6 month old girl) .....she's gonna enjoy her Daddy walkiing her down that aisle in 25-30 years .....
I was stage III base of tongue with 1 lymph node (left side of neck) and I went thru it just like all the others on this forum ....and I had those days when I told my wife "I can't do this another day" ...then on May 7th I got my first PET / CT scan .... so I did make it another day, and another and another ...you will too!!! And I expect to see you sir on the other side looking back with that ALL CLEAR
We are on your team!!!!

you will be OKAYosmotar said:Right Thing
Matt it is absolutely the right thing to do.
Blessings and Light coming your way.

Matt, as horrible as it sounds, it will all work OKAY. If someone had told me one year ago that I would come thru the surgery and 6 weeks of radiation treatments, I would not have believed them. I am here and doing real good. You will do good also, you are much younger and your body will bounce back much quicker than mine. As osmotar said, you did the right thing. Now you can concentrate on the fight and climbing the hill towards your recovery.
We are all here for you. We have been where you are and know that you can do it.
Stay Strong. You are doing great.
p.s. today's dentures are really good. not at all like grandpa's were. if you go to my expression page, I posted a picture of my new dentures for you to see. no one will know and it will just become a part of you.0 -

are not....You ARE doing the right thing. Put your trust in them.
Losing your teeth is traumatic, no doubt.....but they are minor compared to losing your life to C....and....they are replaceable. I have dentures, the only people who know are those I've told. You can't even tell....they make them to look like and be the same color, shape and size as your original teeth, these days. All these things will fall into place after treatment....radiation only lasts a short while, so you'll be good to go just a short time after it is over.
It's going to be OK....I promise.

Hi Matt,
as always you have all my support. And you're one day closer to your first NED.
Dre.
You're in our Prayers, Matt. And don't dwell on the teeth and past- they are gone. Just keep moving forward in the Positive, and it'll all work out. Keep your Drs in the Loop with how you are doing, so they'll know when they need to help.

Hopefully things are looking up a little for you, Matt. It's quite an experience I know, and you're having it rough, but the alternative isn't too hot, so let's get passed this phase and on to recovery!!! We will get thru this!!!!0
