It's really heartwarming
to see someone with such a positive outlook! You go boy!

Though you might not sleep for awhile tonight if you got a good dose of steroids....
Those suckers usually left me full of energy each chemo day, then sleeping most of the next day, LOL...
Carry on PFC....

USMC 1973 - 1977
First two responses from a Navy brat and a Leatherneck.
I smell trouble!

I've been here with just a couple breaks early on since '76.
Saw a great show by Joan Jett at Dubs once. I otherwise didn't hang there much.
But we digress.

I lived there during the same time frame...
I moved to Ocala after the USMC in 1977, went and graduated from CFCC. Then moved to G'ville and worked for the City for several years with RTS, then GRU.
Moved to Tampa, and eventually to Lakeland where I have worked for the City - Lakeland Electric for 22 years now.
I love Gainesville though, although being there in the 70's - 80's was pretty awesome. My mom still lives in Ocala, so when visiting her and if I get some time, I usually try to swing up to Gainesville.

Congrats!
Starting was harder than continuing for me. You've just gotten through boot camp and now you can settle into every day routine. It's actually comforting, knowing you follow the same pattern every weekday until you're done.
Does it help if I admit that I'm an Army brat? ;-)0 -

Man, all we need now is a fly boy and coastie puddle jumper to cover the us armed forces..., LOL.
Thinking of it, I might know a fly boy on here...speak up Denny....LOL.

Sleep tight tonight, I know I will.......I don't get any steroids, just anti-nausea meds, so I've pretty much been napping since I got home...LOL
