Sending positive thoughts and prayers
Hopefully your scan will come back clear.
Sorry that you are in pain, please try entertaining yourself while waiting for results. Having Stage III and positive nodes is not an ultimate conviction for advanced cancer.

Doing my best to bump up all of yesterday's posts, past those of last night's spammers, so they don't get lost.0 -
Sorry, so far bones I don't have
Brain, lung, lymph nodes I do. My primary care doc and I have a 2 week agreement. I see him or my MO and we check out anything going on for 2 weeks. You have to be a really strong lady to have gone this many months with this worry and pain.
I am hoping and praying for results other than mets,

But I do have mets to my aortic arch and the pleural space between my lungs. I will pray for a clean scan for you. Please let us know as soon as possible what your results are.

Hi
You totally did the right thing. As far as I know I dont have any spread of cancer but I also wonder constantly what would mets feel like in the bones. I have aches and pains etc. I think it would be a miracle if every cancer cell was blocked, it only takes one to travel. Depressing, but sure this is a normal fear. Hoping when Tamoxifen is done with my exercise regime will pay off health wise and the weight will drop off, the change should by then be complete too..........0 -

Diagnosed with invasive ductal ca, Stage 3C, 10 positive lymph nodes in December, -09. Just re-diagnosed in January of this year. My oncologist also has the 2-week rule--anything unusual hurting for more than 2 weeks--call her. I had some pain off and on in my back--nothing excrutiating--just kind of annoying--like a toothache. I mentioned it to her and she wasn't too concerned, nor was I. She said bone mets are typically constant, don't go away and pretty severe.
Well, we decided to do testing anyway. After the total body bone scan showed my T-12 vertebra to be lit up like a Christmas tree (not good), we did an MRI, bloodwork, CT scan and PET scan. Because of the likelihood of bone mets at T-12, they then did a bone biopsy of that vertebra. Came back positive for bone mets in T-12, as well as scattered in my spine and pelvis. We were all shocked beyond belief.
I am not saying this is what is happening with you, but you were right to have this checked out--you are certainly NOT over-reacting. I have learned that cancer and metastasis follows no typical pattern with anyone. We can never really be sure of what is going on until we have the proper tests done.
I'm not going to tell you to try not to worry--that can be impossible, but I'm glad you had your test done and I will pray that it comes back negative.
Hang in there and please keep us posted.

normal to be worried. Once cancer strikes it makes us worry about every ache and pain. I will be keeping you in my thoughts and hoping for good results.
Hugs,
Georgia
Praying that you will get good results today.

Your Results
I read your post and got concerned. I don't have mets, but I was hoping and praying that you would get good results. And you did!!! I am so happy for you.
Perhaps they can prescribe something for the pain? Do you exercise often? You'd be surprised how much it can affect our body, not to exercise. Whatever you do, I hope you feel better soon.
May you continue to get "CLEAR" results, now and always.
