scan anxiety time

It is time for a scan again, just a CT of the lungs this time to check the small nodule in the lungs. As an update, they had found a small nodule in Jim's left upper lobe of lung which had grown on the last PET. It is still quite small. The RAD doc wanted to check it in 3 months, The original tongue and lymph node cancer was all clear. Jim always gets anxious and starts wanting to wait to make decisions or plans untill after the scan results. I am thinking positive and not as anxious; either that or am stuffing the anxiety and not aware of it which I do without reaizing it.

Anyway, please pray for his anxiety to calm down this afternoon (test at 1PM) and during the wait for results. An NED would be so helpful to his state of mind too.

I leave it in God's hands.

    Scans are good,
    They just verify what you already know. All is good !!!!!

    Thanks everyone. Back from scan. On the way to the appointment Jim began planning for future fishing trips. That is a good sign that he is being more positive.

    The Rad doctor ordered the CT but we couldn't get an appointment for results until the 30th, that's a long wait. We do have an appointment with the oncologist this coming Monday and we can get the results from him.

    A way of life unfortunatley for awhile....

    BTW, at my facility, you can request a desk copy of the report and CD's, usually available the day after scans... If you can't stand it and want to know the results.

    But be forewarned..., what you read isn't always what they read, LOL....

    Meaning you might see something as potential bad, but in reality, it might not be.

    Sorry I did not see your post this am ..just getting on the board!

    I have now officially added you and your husband to my prayer list (I really do keep one by my bed and say my prayers each night) :)

    So prayers coming your way ......I'm going to specifically pray that lung nodule goes away!!! :)
