Swollen calf, ankle and foot
Have any of you ever experienced anything like this? Onc felt it was after effects of chemo but I'm wondering if I should go see my family doctor and pursue it further. I just am not sure if it would be normal to still have this issue 3 months after chemo is finished? It doesn't seem like something I should have in the first place, actually! It only happens when I sit.
I would appreciate hearing if anyone else has had this particular issue? Thank you!

I am so sorry this is
I am so sorry this is happening to you. I just had rads, no chemo, so, I don't know if chemo could have anything to do with this or not.
It's great that your onco did the tests to see if it might be a clot or something with your blood pressure and that they came back normal.
I think, if I were you, I would probably pursue it further, just for the fact that I would want to know what is causing it and to stop it.
Good luck and keep us updated as to what you do and find out.

I think I will call my Primary Care Physician today. He seemed very concerned about it last time I saw him. I am just not comfortable after everything that's happened over the past year to sit back and be passive about my health.
I hope you have a wonderful day!0 -

Your primary physician.....something isn't right....it isn't normal for your leg to do that....what tests did your oncologist do? There months after chemo, it should all be out of your system...
Keep us posted...

Glad to hear you're seeing your PCP. My first thought was a blood clot. I don't know if there is a margin of error in the tests they do for that or if there is a different one that can be done, but maybe that is a question for your PCP.
I haven't finished chemo yet, but I have had a few episodes of BOTH legs and feet swelling. Cutting down on salt and wearing compression socks (like for long airline flights) have taken care of it for me. But with just one leg involved, I think you definitely need more answers.
Good luck and keep us posted!

Sorry to hear you are in such pain. I know my Mom had the same issue after her cancer battles, she was giving support braces made out of a thick leather to assist her ankles on rough days. I agree it is important to get answers, one cannot assume all is okay.
My other thought is that it could be a form of lymphedema although most bc patients do not get it in their feet (like I said my Mom did) it still is an avenue to explore.
Wishing you all the best, let us know what happens!
