LOL...I guess I just don't get it..
That's what I'd call over dedication to the wedding day....and then what? Pull tube and gain it back in 10 days...You bet it's insanity...and I'm surprised that a Dr. would even do it.

Crazy
for that money, couldn't you hire the snobby high school girls from the commercial to follow you around and comment on your food ("Dude" "seriously?" "That is so gross"). I can't imagine - remember the folks years ago who got their jaws wired shut?
I'm guessing the PEG or J-tube are out, because the scar would ruin bikini season?0 -

I saw that on TV and thought it was a Saturday Night Live skit.
But in this day and age, is anyone surprised by this?
Reminds me of the line in "The Devil Wears Prada" where the girl says "I'm just one good stomach flu away from my ideal weight"
You guys break me up. Just what this cite needs. I love it.
Pam, your comments were price-less. But those snobby girls in the TV commercial are probably "on the tube" already.

Alas and alack, it's just another example of how some in our society are just wait for it...going down the tubes...*

As someone who also had to have a PEG tube to survive, I was appalled as well. At the women and more so that any sane doc would agree to do it. What a wacky world we live in.0 -

They must leave the tube in the entire time sticking out of their nose? Perhaps I don't really need to know.0 -
Is it unpolite...
To want to kick those stupid people? Oh boy, i tought it was a joke. Im 30, been a chubby girl my whole life... But is much better being a miss pig bride of than using this tube on my face. One week was enough for my whole life.0 -
Hi Ratface
Hey ratface ...may I ask where you did your treatments? If you look at my posts I was just asking why I did not have traditional chemo (only Erbitux) and why I did not have surgery ..you had both of those and had almost the same diagnoses as me??
Anyway...any feedback of advice I would appreciate ...you will have to read my posts.
I was dx base of tongue, 1.5 - 2.0 cm tumor ...one lymph node invovled 3 cm ....HPV 16 +...I am 3 months out of treatment and go for my firs PET scan May 7th.
I was tempted to ask the doc / ENT to do the surgery to remove the affected lymph node (it has now shrunk to almost nothing ...though I can feel it still they say that is most likely scar tissue).
So why do you think you got traditional chemo and surgery...and I did not? Do you think I should ask for the surgery ? I think it is too late for the chemo.
Thanks for your response.
