Fluid build up?
He isn't home yet, will find out more when he gets back.
Mom said she has noticed he looks like he has gained weight in his stomach (Probably abdomen). His arms and face and legs are all so very skinny.
Is this normal or is something more going on here?

My husband Vince had a fluid buildup too and gained over 13 pounds. He had the fluid
tested and his was positive for cancer cells. This is not always the case. He had 5 liters
Drained the first time and it showed cancer in the abdomen.
I am sorry to say that if this is the case it is not a good thing.
The radiologist at your hospital can drain it and test it. He will feel better once he is relieved of the pressure
Of all this fluid guide up.
Take good care.

Thank you Barbara for your honesty.
I still have not heard anything more as he is still there.
Not sure what is going on.
All I know is the weight gain is fluid.
Loretta has talked with me about this before how fluid can build up and you think it is a weight gain from eating, but now it is showing in his abdomen.
Will they automatically test the fluid or do you have to request it?
I only ask because my brother and his wife do not ask enough questions, they just go by whatever the onc. says and no more.
I do think it is fear of what they may find out.0 -
