Howdy Kids!

Just a quickie to say I had an all-clear/NED report last week on my 2 year post tx scan. For some reason no scanxiety at all on this one. Have a few side issues like being a smart arse and can’t keep the fish outta the boat (oh wait a minute those probably aren’t due to chemo or rads). Seriously, doing great, feeling great and enjoying life!

Hope to see some of my “classmates” from 2010 reporting good news as well……. and everyone else of course too. I think I saw where Chuck (Rushfan) saying he received a good 2-year report recently.

Hate seeing so many newby’s but great to see how you are helping each other out. Reminds me of the support I got 2 years back. As always, you guys are freakin’ awesome!

Positive thoughts being sent to everyone!

Greg

I'm a newby, too...but like ditto says....seeing the "old newbies" coming back and reporting NED's give us encouragment and hope....one day we'll be the ones coming back and reporting NED's to the future newbies...

This group IS freaking awesome...my first stop of each and every day.

ALL RIGHT! Really think you and Mike are the only two good people in St.Louis, so I am very glad to hear this news! If I might make a suggestion- there's a big building downtown by the river you and Mike oughta go to and beat up a bunch of people wearing red to celebrate your great news!? Leave the folks in blue alone- they got enough problems, already. Uh...

Yes, we got new people, here, but there's also a number of us old timers hanging around to let them know what you're telling them with this thread, Greg- this fight is not only winnable, but the life after can be really great. Life is very good.

They say there's mermaids in that old river, John, as Greg and I well know. And they don't exactly slap you in the face. Quite the opposite, actually! Most of them look like Kim Basinger or Jennifer Anniston, and sing like Mariah. Up north they look like Reese Witherspoon and sing like Celine...Book a flight, yet, John, and charter a boat?

    2 years goes quick
Great news Greg, I'm coming up for mine next month. I'm currently living on the road in a RV with a 5-month old German shepherd. It'll be interesting to see what's it's going to take to rustle up oncologists and/or ENTs on the fly. I do remember your treatment time well though. Keep it up.

    Woo Hoo!
It's like somebody from my graduating class got a dream job! Glad this was my "one more before bed" thread. Very pleased your two year reports are good. OK - so I was "held back" a little, and had to get the dissection nine months after treatment, but last month was my two year end of rads anniversary, and seeing your news does me good. Keep it up.

    Thanks all

ditto, phrannie, tonsil dad & Laralyn – I don’t post much but check the site out weekly and I’ve been following all of you. You all have great positive attitudes which is SOOO important and I love the way you support one another. Keep it up! You guys will do well. Take it one day and one step at a time and try to laugh your butt off at least once a day – it helps.

To a couple of my heroes on here – John (fisrpotpe) and Patricke. I’m still shooting for your longevity and more important, your great attitudes! Thanks Linda and MikeM also, always like reading your posts.

Can’t say enough about my “classmates” – two years ago was a rough time, glad you guys were there! Thanks Deb, Wife, Charles, Pam and Hal. Hal, I’m envious of your new lifestyle – keep us updated on your travels.

Kent – to the only cubs fan I could ever like – you da Man. Skiff, sorry we didn’t hook up when I was down in your neck of the woods, but may be better off as your wife probably would have ended up back in St. Louis (not cause I’m better lookin’ just ‘cause I can catch bigger fish). And Pat (LTS) I’m glad you’re having fun on vacation but please stop sending me pictures of you in speedos.

To my homeboy Mike (luv4), appreciate you being there to listen to me bitcx and complain. Ready for a nite out to watch the Blues and get a cold one.

    My best to everyone!

    Indeed I did...
Thanks for your post. I'm with you...no scanxiety for me or my wife this go-round.

I too am feeling fantastic. I'm leaner, not meaner. Energy level is great. Other than a few very minor eating issues and dry mouth at night, I'm good to go. Back up to 200 lbs (from 211 at start of treatments, 175 at end) and slowly getting some of my powerlifting mojo back.

I also "graduated" to scan every six months. That will help the pocketbook out a bit. That Paul Reed Smith might just be a possibility.

I only drop by CSN occasionally now, but always good to see the stalwarts great support.

Best to you and ALL here.
    Chuck.
