helpful mouth care hints for H&N patients undergoing radiation therapy
I wanted to post this link again...
it talks about what i (and other patients on this list) found helpful during radiation treatments in 2009.
Glad to say I am 2+ years out and all is looking good so far. the tongue hurts occasionally, a few things still don't taste good, or feel good in my mouth, and I still carry a water bottle EVERYWHERE...but life is almost normal other than that! What can I say...i am HERE and I've gotten to live my life pretty well since...

Survivor Son...
So you were the inspiration behind the scenes of the original questions posted by your son....?
Congrats on your progress.....and you have a good chance of further improvment. I'm nearly three years post treatment, and it took well over two years before I regained nearly 95% or so of my saliva, and nearly if not 100% of my taste.
Best,
