sorry didnt see it on here but did find it Its called Beating Ovarian Cancer by Chris Bledy. has anyone read the book?
Hello . I have read the book, ordered it off amazon.com. Currently have it loaned out. But I will tell you what I remember. She was dx in 2000 with stage 3c. Went into remission , had recurrence. After her recurrence she changed her lifestyle drastically. Some of the changes were: eating organic foods, only uses certain detergents and soaps ( due to toxin entering pores from many soaps and compromising the immune system) . She didn't say what she used though. She has a food zapper she zaps her food with to kill parasies. She had filter put on her shower to capture ny harmful chemicals in the water. The book is an encouraging read, especially since she had a recurrence. There's more to the book but that is the high lites of what i remember . Hope this helps.

thanks for telling a little about the book I do have my ordered thru Amazon. I believe that any info we can share with each other to beat this is great. We all have a common goal in our fight. Have a nice day! Sherry0 -

I saw a YouTube video of Chris Bledy speaking about her survivorship & checked out her web site. She made a comment somewhere that she had some "extreme surgeries" but didn't go into detail. Does anyone have the details of Chris's surgeries?
Thanks for posting about a long-term survivor.0 -

Thanks for posting about a long-term survivor.
I read the Chris Bledy book. It's inspirational since she is a long-term survivor. She had a debulking surgery, then a second look surgery, if I'm recalling it right. There was some ordeal about having some stitches in the first surgery done with a material that's not used anymore, can't recall what the name is. Apparently, she had a big time reaction to it. After she had her first recurrence, she made major changes to her lifestyle. Exercised more, didn't eat meat, zaps her food, meditates, does a whole host of things. I believe a year or so ago she started on bio-identical hormones (which I thought were a no-no for Ov/Ca patients). Her book is interesting, but probably doesn't contain much more information than you can find on this website, unless one wants to read the story for inspiration.....0
