More "Positive News" - Monthly onc visit & Zometa Infusetion
After we left the doctors office at 4:30pm, we had to go to our Craven County Relay For Life Ice Cream Social at a local church at 5:30pm. My wife and I picked up our Relay T-shirts and talked with some other survivors we meet there. They were to have two speakers there, but one of them had a problem at home with a loved one, so they opened the mic for people to tell their stories about being Caregivers. So I got up to tell about when my wife was diagnoised with Kidney cancer in 2001, she would have to go to the hospital once a month, for a week of chemo. She had nurses and me waiting on her hand & foot. What ever she wanted ,she would get it. So one day, after a couple of years of this, I jokeingly said that I wanted to get cancer so I could get some attention, too. Needless to say,"Watch out for what you wish for!" Six years latter I was diagnoised with Breast cancer, and I still can't get anyone to wait on me "hand & foot"! (Laughing Out Loud)
Now,I have a week to have my T-shirt stencled with "Male Breast Cancer" across the back before our Relay on the 27th of April. The "Male" is in Blue and "Breast Cancer" is in Pink. I also have a "PINK" hat with M-B-C embroidered across the front of it. Can't wait for the 27th!
Anyway, just wanted to let you all know "what's up with me". Praying for all of you and sending (((HUGS))) your way.
Robert
P.S. What was with all you on that Pink Bus? There was so much cheering, shouting & partying going on, I though I saw someone whipping their blouse around over their head. I told the nurses I had no idea who those loud, noisey "Pink" ladies were or where they came from, because I didn't want to get kicked out before I had my infusion.( LOL )

It's wonderful to hear your appointment with your oncologist and lab work went great. That's cause for celebration. I have to tell you, I love your spirit, Robert. I wish I could have been there to hear your speak. You are a story teller, that is a gift.
Yes, we Pinks can get a tad bit zealous with our merry ways! Hope we didn't embarrass you too much. But than again, you one of us! Wishing you and your lovely wife a great time at the Relay for Life!

Robert, Good news about your appointment but in the words of the immortal Joan Rivers, "Can we talk ?"
Denying your Pink friends even if you did have a perfectly good reason!

Glad to hear
that the news is good. Regarding the pink bus. All you have to do is threaten my life with a deadly disease and it is likely I will do a lot of wild and crazy things. I had been good all my life prior to this. So for me the pink bus is party time.0 -
:-)
Robert, you know us Pinks like to be noticed and we do all we can to make sure the Pink in need knows we are nearby no matter how much the nurses and docs wish we would tone it down!
Extremely glad to hear you got such a glowing medical report! I love that you were so attentive to your wife (so was my husband all three times~what a guy!) I assure you your wife deeply appreciates it! Now on to the design of your T-shirt and hat, they sound awesome, I hope you will post pictures when you get them.
My best to you and your wifey,

So happy to hear your good news, Robert.
We'll all be with you in spirit at the relay. May even show up in the pink bus. Don't worry it sure wasn't my shirt flying through the air. At this point that's a visual no one wants or needs. LOL
Thanks for the happy news.
