to all the caregivers who have lost or will at some time lose
So many who we only know through you- I think of Brant's Melissa, Pam's Al, Carl's Renee, - please add more and forgive my brain for losing touch with names.
When I was under the cancer beast- I remember thinking how will my family do after I am gone? Would they be ok? I told my twin sister to snuggle each of my grandbabies and then great grand babies- and whisper to them, "your grandma loves you so much!"
I knew it would be hard, but I also new that I wanted them to live the life I would not- to be happy, to think of me often, to reach out to others to help and support each other. I wanted with each glorious sunrise for them to think of me and be there for me because I can't.
You all, caregivers, are so critical to us through this journey- but I think of you often after and so wish you would post. I need to know that you are OK, difficult timess, but you will pull through this and be ok. It helps bring me full circle in my own life knowing that my family will be fine.
With love from Minnesota

Thank you so much for this post. Although I am no longer a "caregiver" in the true sense of the word, cancer remains, and always will, a controlling factor in every aspect of my life. My 24/7 thoughts are always with my beautiful daughter, Johnnybegood, and with the helpless feeling that I cannot "fix" this. I'm sure there is not a person out there who has not been touched by some type of cancer, be it patient, family, or friend and my heart goes out to each and every one of them.
I so appreciate all of you here welcoming me as a member of your family who provide love, comfort, support, and knowledge for myself and Johnnybegood.
Luv,

Thanks for that post Patteee...
I add my oldest daughter and my 2 younger who have been my closest caregivers. They are the closest to me and have had to watch me go thru the worst of it and the best. All in all they have been and are always there to cheer me on. Hugs to you!

Two off the top of my head: Roger's( Crow71 ) wife Kim; Lisa42's husband Andre;Bless them!
I was a caregiver to my Mother who passed away as a result of cancer.
I am forever grateful to my hubby Ed, daughter Rachel, sister Peggy, and dear friend Marie. They lovingly took care of me.
All are angels amongst us.

Hi Patteee...
As the caregiver to my husband Patrick, I have been so focused on making sure all is taken care of so he does not have to worry about all the big or little happenings that occur every day. I have been truckin along pretty good but the last week or so I felt very overwhelmed and tired, which led me to be a bit snappy. But, I guess it is my right to blow off a little steam some days...even if the hubby and kids get a little nervous when I do!
The thing is, I would do anything for Pat, I know he appreciates me and that is all that matters at this point.
Thanks for thinking of the caregivers out there!

you are so right
All the caregivers are really very special people. They are the ones who really know how you feel. They listen to you and feel our pain. Bless all the caregivers. Jeff0 -
