NED at 16 months out

early morning visit my the chief oncologist, Dr. Teknos and he found my tongue to be perfect. I have gained weight, have no eating issues nor swallowing issues. Not bad for someone who was diagnosed with Stage 4 and told by my ENT this year that he thought I wouldn't make it. Dr. T said I was one of his star patients and thought my positive attitude played a large part in my outcome.
Needless to say, I could have skipped the whole 80 miles back home! Loving the NED. And hoping you all can get that same NED!

Congrats on the NED, like I've said many times these are the best three letters on
The board. I'm very happy for you, with Gods blessings you will have many, many,
    Many more NED.

    Keep Calm and Carry On.

    God bless
    Tonsil Dad,

    BTW
He was the team leader of my oncologists and also the surgeon...and the one who I told I was refusing the surgery and heading straight to radiation and chemo. I have to say he took it like a man (lol). I really never saw him during my 7 weeks of treatment after turning down that surgery. Since my treatments ended and my radiation doc moved back to Detroit to accept a huge promotion, Dr. Teknos is now the only doc I see and he is a sweetheart and I enjoy talking with him about many cancer related things.
I showed him the poster for the benefit I am putting together next week: Rock This Town which will benefit our local hospice and also our local cancer association. All monies stay in our community. He then offered to make a donation. Thought that very kind of a doc who lives 80 miles from my home. Will keep you posted on what he gives! Needless to say, I was touched.
Thanks for all the kinds words to you folks. This board continues to lift me up on days when I feel alittle down.
