Searching for blogs by colon cancer survivors

Hi all! I'm looking for information and communities from colorectal cancer survivors about post-treatment health care. Could some folks please let me know some blogs I could read?

Thanks!

    Depending on where you live
Depending on where you live, there are programs in many communities for cancer patients after treatment is over. Some of these include people in active treatment too. I was part of a "Living Well With Cancer" group that was mixed about 50/50 with those finished with treatment and those Stage IV that will always be in treatment.

My Colorectal Cancer Nurse Navigator was on a task force here where she wrote a Cancer Survivor Care Plan. Did you receive anything like this at the end of your treatments?

Also, I would suggest looking for a CRC support group in your area. They are NOT just for patients in treatment, but for those who have finished too. You can get a lot of good information and support, plus you can be an inspiration to someone else going through treatment right now.

What are you looking for? I had stage 2 tumor at high end of rectum , after radiation with simultaneous chemo thru a pump giving me
1 1/4 mg of 5fu 24/7 for 5 weeks . Had a resection with ileostomy. 6 weeks with bag and then take down. Developed fistula causing 6 more weeks with bag. Fistula healed itself from inside out. Now leading normal life with occasional diarrhea. Soon to be 80 yrs old I don't complain. You too can survive it all. Don't be afraid!!!! This is obviously cursble. My best to you.
