Found a new toothpaste
It's more than double the size, touts better fluoride uptake, better remineralization (has Tr-Calcium Phosphate), and lower abrasion over the Colgate brand.
On the shelf, they were the same price $13.99, but rang in on sale for $3.50 (ShoppersDrugMart, Canada).

Hope it's available where you are if you're interested.

Hope you are doing well,

I bet that's a Canadian market item and you probably won't be able to get in the U.S; but luckily I leave near Niagra so i may have to make a run for the border!! Good find Roger!!

I think you are correct. I looked once before for prescription strength toothpaste that contained calcium and none were FDA approved. If it didn't require a script I would have a friend of mine in Canada pick some up for me since I will be seeing him next week.

My brother is a dentist and he's insisted I use this product because of its better flouride uptake. I'm in Florida and have been using it for the last 2 years. I still use the Prevident gel in my trays.0 -

I will check with my pharmacist and see if he can get it. Do you happen to recall the price?0 -

Roger, how is it going? You and I were going through treatment at about the same time. Do you have your taste and saliva back yet. Mine are almost normal, not perfect but very acceptable.
John
Thanks for asking. Treatment finished Dec12/11, feeling pretty good.
Taste is around 80-90%. I can tell it's not perfect because regular Coke tastes like diet. I don't normally drink pop anymore, it's just my litmus test when my wife drinks it. Most foods taste the way I remembered.
Saliva is reduced but I can get away with not drinking water through the night. If I chew Trident through the day, I can also avoid carrying a water bottle. In fact, drinking water is very temporary relief for me, and it feels more dry afterward. Chewing gum actually makes it quite wet in there, enough to make constant watery saliva, and allows my voice not to dry out.

Yes, you are right on, gum is the only thing that keeps me saliva'd up....I also use Stoppers 4 for some immediate help, but gum in the best, better than any pill I've tried. P.S. I have to get a prescription to get your toothpaste. What's up with that? A Dr's approval to use toothpaste!!. Next they'll be prescribing bath tissue....lol
glad you are doing well

I always knew we would survive this phase of our life. Sounds like you are right where I am.
