Hi,
Do your fingers also
Hi,
Do your fingers also turn blue? I have that problem, and it is called Reynaud's Syndrome. It is also part of the neropathy (sp?) that you get from the chemo. I started getting before my whole cancer diagnosis. Once my toes, and fingers warmed back up, they would turn normal. They are also tingling feeling.
Just another side effect!! Yea! Hopefully this helps.....0 -
Hi Anne, it is probably
Hi Anne, it is probably neuropathy, but have you been checked for diabetes? I am blessed with NOT having any symptoms from chemo or radiation, but I do have diabetes. It can sneak up on you and the numbers fluxuate minute to minute. If it doesn't stop or diminish ask for a A1c test for it. In the mean time, before bed soak your feet in warm Epson Salts water for about fifteen minutes and don't wear tight shoes. They just compress the nerves. Go bare-footed as much as you can. Hope this helps you some! Just wish I could find a fix for Chemo-brain...or maybe it's just pure old age! Best, Debrajo0 -

I myself don't have a problem with my toes turning blue but glad you brought it to your doctor's attention. I was happy to read that you got some good sleep the other night. I hope that continues for you!
Take care,

blue toes
Do they get cold.Is the color change worse in the winter. I had a patient who was wearing sandals one day. We were discussing other things about her health and I looked down at her feet and both feet were blue. She had Raynaud's disease. Check it out with your doctor. It is a simple thing to treat. Also ask him or her to check the circulation in your legs.0 -

Thanks for all you comments I do know I don't have diabets I have been check for that I have never heard of Raynaud's disease so will check into that. My toes do get very cold while they are blue but not because it is cold. I had them under a blanket the last time they got so blue. I also had my circulation in my legs checked when I was in the hospital in June last year and that was all really good so I don't think it could be that. I will talk to my doctor about the Raynaud's when I have my next appointment which was today except my mom, dad, and I got food poisening over the weeked. What is sad is I did not go out to eat with them my mom called before leaving the resturant and asked if instead of a salad from wendi's would I like her chicken flata (not sure of spelling)they gave here two with her dinner and she only eat one and had some spanish rice left also, I said yes and well here we are pooping all over ourselve andnot keeping things down lol. I will talk with you all later
