Upcoming CT scan

in Colorectal Cancer #1
My onc has me scheduled for a scan Tuesday morning. THen I see him that afternoon to get the results. THat is what I like about getting all of my care at an NCI hospital. I used to have to fight with my old oncologist to get the results. This is my first scan since before surgery when they found the last liver tumor. I am expecting good results.

    Love my NCI facility as well...all my cancer team is there and I'm slowly moving other aspects of healthcare there as it comes up...like ENT...

    My place has got a great system in place to get your results...it's called MyChart and your bloodwork and even scan results can be posted there for the patient to log on and review. No muss - no fuss. I really love that feature.

    Hi Jeff
    That's nice and fast. I usually go in the week before for the scan. I could cut it closer but I like going in on the same day of the week. But never do I get results the same day. It is nice when you're dealing with a very good cancer facility. Things often seem to run smoother overall.

    Hi..... I get my results the same day too. I love not waiting. I get my scan...go have lunch there at the hospital cafeteria....waste a little time....2 hours later go back to scan dept and go over results with Rad Onc. My next one is May 4th. Sending good vibes your way for the all clear. Hugs!

    I get my MSK scan results the same day
    but that's because I come in from out of town (and because my surgeon reads the scans himself.) I feel very fortunate.

    However, I'm being switched to MRIs starting with my next scan (fall of 2013), as my dr considers me at low risk of recurrence. No more glowing in the dark! (How will my husband find me? Oh, that's right, he knows Braille ;-) )
