and thoughts with Zachary. He was finally found on Tuesday this past week. I would have been on sooner to give updates but i was in the hospital. Apparently, there is a new game the teens want to play around here. They get together to "pretend" a kidnaping of a friend or someone they know. In Zachs case, the boys actually pulled up to him had masks on and put them in there car. It was supposed to be an overnite thing but they all got scared when they heard about the police being involved, so they wouldnt let him go. Sounds crazy and so unbelievable i know. I still cant understand where the boys parents were at the boys house where zach was kept. I still cant understand how these kids think that this kind of game is a joke and funny either. There are four boys ages 15-17 being held in juvenile that are getting charged and charges may come up on the parents of the house they kept zach. I am just so thankful that he is ok and that he is finally home. I am still dumbfounded at all of this. Zach was truely tramatized by it all. It is so scarey and sad that these kids today are doing something so stupid thinking that its all a joke. I am hoping that with Zachs case getting known that it wont happen anymore to any child. I will let everyone know what comes up with the case and what happens to those involved. The Today Show invited us to be interviewed and im leaving that up to Zach, so i will let you all know if that happens too. Thank you all again for the prayers and thoughts and kind words. God heard all of the prayers and brought Zach home safe.
God bless all of you for everything.

I am so happy that this story has a happy ending. So many like this do not. This did, however, make me furious beyond belief. I am a parent and cannot even imagine what all of you have gone through over this. I would press the District Attorney in your community to come down heavily on all the boys involved. Too bad if your son doesn't like it. The parents of the involved minors bear some responsibility for this also. Perhaps something like "negligent supervision" would be appropriate. At the very least I would suggest that you retain an attorney and look into the merits of a civil suit against the boys and their parents. The Pinks will continue to be with you.lolad said:I want to thank all of you for the prayers

Thank you. I am definatly involved in finding out how hard we can come down on these boys. Zach is totally on board with me so far. We do have an attorney all ready and i so agree with you that the parents should be charged as well. We are also discussing the civil suit against all of them. I will fight very hard and as long as i have to.
thank you so much and take care

I'm so relieved, Laura. I was so frightened for you and can't even come close to what you had to be feeling during his absence.
This story absolutely infuriates me. This was not a joke in any sense. Zach was kidnapped no matter how you look at it. WTH is with the parents? Didn't they notice anything? Come on!
Best of luck to you in however this plays out. The most important thing is that your son is safe.
Whew!

I am so glad and relived for you, Zach and the family. This is such a terrible thing and I can't believe that they came up with something so horrific to be used as a joke. It just makes you wonder what this generation of teens is thinking and how out of control they can be. I hope that the parents didn't know about any of this because if they did, they should do more time than the teens!
I'm sure you were in the hospital because of Zach, they must have wanted to check him over and keep him for observation. I hope he can move on from this trauma and he might need some professional help with that.
God bless all of you and thanks for letting us know he's safe. We were all so worried about him.

Absolutely right it's not a joke
I had a daughter missing for 3 years as she had run away. Since this was done of her own accord it was hard enough. But to have someone not knowing where thier kid is when they had not decided to run away is even harder as the kid did not bring it on themselves (I mean the trouble that they get in). You worry more because a run away can often choose to come home, or call and say I am ok. But someone who comes up missing like Zach does not have these choices. It is a nightmare because you always think the worst.
By the way of course I am glad he is home and ok. Praise God for keeping him relatively safe despite the trauma it caused the whole family.0 -

Zach is home and safe in his mothers arms.
Unbeleavable what kids do these days....what in the world were they thinking?
I hope Zach will get the help he needs and will heal soon.
