Should have learned to love limbo

Scan results were not what we wanted. Abdomen and pelvis we did as a follow-up were fine, chest I requested due to nagging cough not good. Right lung full of fluid, basically working with one lung.
disease in lining of lung and some "tiny" lymph nodes. Started Xeloda on Saturday will scan again in 8 weeks to see what is what.

Maybe limbo wasn't so bad.....

    Not good news buddy,
I love your spunk and humor though. I'll be praying that the Xeloda does what it's suppose to do. I am so glad you were persistent on getting that chest scan, keep listening to your body and pushing for answers. Love you girl.

Jennifer, sorry that the news was not what you needed....
now they know what they are fighting. Being persistent is a good thing. I am beginning to believe that ignorance can be bliss! Unfortunately I have one of those nagging personalities that hates limbo and has a need to know. After 2 rounds of antibiotics for chest pain in Sept/Oct, did a ct scan of the lungs and found that the beast found the connective tissue in the ribs, chest wall, and left a couple of tumors in the liver.

Will pray the the Xeloda does the job, and gives you a clean next scan.

We all get it....it sucks! Zeloda was the easiest treatment of all that I've had...no se at all...I took it for 7 months until it stopped working...but I am grateful it gave me 7 months of a " normal" life....hoping it does the trick for you!

    Right Lung?
    Dear Jennifer,

I am very sorry for your recent results of your scan. Will they be draining your right lung? I had a pleural effusion when I had that awful scan in 2008. They drained it and I have not had a any effusion since. I know it can come back.

My oncologist wanted me to start on Xeloda or Taxol after my recent scan too. I wanted one last try with hormonal therapy. I wish you the best on this new chemo.

Limbo is a good place but only for a short time.

    Best,

    Doris
