recurrence into NED
Currently going through chemo (gemzar, avasitin, carboplatin) and on my 6th chemo found out that I am allergic to carboplatin. The first go round i was allergic to taxol. My nurses told me they've never met anyone that was allergic to both.

What is NED? I hope you feel better soon. Prayers to you.

NED is short for "no evidence of disease." it's generally considered to be the same thing as remission.
I don't know what the actual statistics are, but I know that it's not all that rare to achieve a second or even a third remission.

I had a recurrence and am about 8 months into my second remission. All is possible!
Hugs and Hope!
