~ A Poem For Laurissa ~
He then looked down upon his earth and saw your loving face.
He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest.
His Garden must be beautiful, he always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering, he knew you were in pain.
And knew that you would never get well on earth again.
He saw your path was difficult, he closed you tired eyes,
He whispered to you "Peace be Thine" and gave you wings to fly.
When we saw you sleeping so calm and free of pain,
We would not wish you back to earth to suffer once again.
You've left us precious memories, your love will be our guide,
You live on through your children, you're always by our side.
It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone.
For part of us went with you on the day God called you home.

The perfect poem for Laurissa. Thank you.
thank you so much for this so appropriate poem. I really needed this to heal my
broken heart.
Laurissa and I started our journey (like so many others) just about the same time --
and while it is so difficult and heart breaking to lose any Sister in PINK -- a
passing of a fellow WARRIOR who started their journey at the same time 'we' started
really throws me for a loop. I get depressed, and want to curl up in a ball and
cry for weeks. I know this is the 'ugly' side of the beast --.

Megan thank you for the beautiful poem for Laurissa. I can't stop thinking about sweet Laurissa and the short time we knew her. I find comfort in knowing she is at last pain free and with God. Yes, there are precious memories not only for us but for her dear family.0 -
