Another tumor
In case you cant see my previous posts, I had a tumor the same size removed from left kidney using laproscopic surgery and it was benign. I also had a complicated cyst removed with open surgery and it was benign. Both surgeries the past summer.
Any advice or experience with this?

Advice
Dear cindiboy,
You present an unusual diagnosis and past history. If I were in your shoes I would seek a second opinion from another Doctor as I doubt the answer to your diagnosis is cut and dry and even your initial recommendation is not cut and dry. As much as I woukd like to offer an opinion I would not feel comfortable on you relying on any thing I say.
With that said, my hopes and prayers are with you for a full and complete recovery..

My two cents says NO to 1) and prefer 3) over 2) (for reasons I've stated before plus the benign nature of the earlier lesion). That said, I wouldn't demur from iceman's suggestion that with such a history you might like to seek a second opinion.
It's an interesting question as to just how unusual this may be. We would tend not to hear about all the cases where what is removed turns out to be benign. We know tumours are being created and destroyed all the time in our bodies and only sometimes get out of control.0 -

I would think about finding a specialist in nephrology that you haven't seen. I also wonder why a treatment can't be given in the meantime, just in case? Maybe low dose sutent or votrient. Then watch and see.0 -

Cindiboy,
I'd avoid a biopsy, too unreliable and potentially dangerous. Your history of benign growths suggests that a wait and see approach is a reasonable choice over more surgery. I also agree with fox's proactive suggestion of possible treatment while you wait, just in case.0 -
What kind of treatments are
What kind of treatments are y'all talking about? Chemotherapy? If I get a 2nd opinion should I get new tests or ask them to be forwarded to new doctor?
Thank you so much for responses. My husband won't really talk about it too much so I don't really have anyone to talk to about this0 -

cindyboy,
No, not chemo, fox mentioned two drugs, sutent and votrient, there are others. It would be a question for your doctors as to what might work best in your situation with a minimum of side effects.0 -

Cindiboy,
Your doctor should not feel offended that you are seeking a second opinion with your unusual diagnosis. Have your current results forwarded rather than new tests. Additionally maintain your own file with all of your records so you do not have to ask the first doctor to forward everything.

(1) - Interlukin - depending on whether it's a fit - your pathology report, your age, performance level etc. will have to be considered. This will have to be in the ICU, preferably at a cancer center - say Sloan, Fox Chase, Johns Hopkins
(2) Surgery
(3) There are several approved drugs, Sutent, Votrient, Everolimus, Axitinib, I forget the rest
(4) Clinical Trials - drugs like MDX, Fox can write more on these.
I am deeply sorry to hear of your recurrence - and hope the alternatives are presented to you and you make a reasonably appropriate decision. Please let me know if I can be help.

So sorry!
Cindiboy, I am so sorry about your finding another tumor.
I am very new to this so I really no nothing. Would this be why many surgeons want to remove the whole kidney rather than do partial? I am just wondering.
I have a very hard time waiting so I would like to have it done ASAP. But, with your history it may be nothing. I think a second opinion is a great idea. I do know if your doctor gets angry because you asked for a second opinion, he is not the doctor for you.
Best wishes with what you decide.

I am debating whether I want to post this. But I heard so many good stories people came out from cancer free with this product, even from someone i know, therefore, i'm going to just throw it out there, use it with your own judgment. Here is the website:
http://www.tianxian.com.my/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=113&Itemid=129&lang=en
The head quarter of this company is registered in Hong Kong, they have the 1800 you can dial from U.S. to acquire more information , the website contained lots of information. This product is very popular in Asia countries, especially Taiwan, Hong Kong , Japan, and others, there are some in U.S. as well.
since I wss originally from Malaysia, my family has contacted the branch there and they are sending me this tian xian liquid for me as a supplement to prevent any cancer cells in the body to grow or recurrence. The branch manager has spoken to me in person and try to get better understanding of my situation prior to any order. They are medical professionals and very knowledgeable, due to they can not find someone in the States who has strong chinese medicine and licensed background, they can not establish a branch here as much they want, they do not want to simply ruin their reputation. But, they normally send out two large shipments to the U.S. and they are kind to issue you with a money back warranty if you did not receive your shipment for any reason.
The product can take it as supplement in conjunction with other pills. But it has be at least three or four hours apart from each other. Check it out if you are interested. I know it is pretty hard to understand Eastern medicine for a native here. So, just do your research. The website link I attached is in English. Hope it helps.0
