It has been a while

Hello,

It has been a while since I have been on here. I just wanted to give the newbies on here a word of encouragement and give the seasoned veterans an update.

March 24, was the one year mark for my surgery. I visited Dr Reed yesterday, March 27, and everything looked fantastic. She released me, and said no reason to come back unless I had a concern. (I will still see my medical oncologist every 6 months and have a PET every 6 months for the next 2 years)

My next PET is scheduled for May 16, hopefully this will be the 4th clear scan in a row.

I have started an EC support group here in town. Mostly it is just one on one meetings with newly diagnosed patients and walking them through the process and stay with them through surgery and as long as they need me. It is going very well, and I could not do this if all of you had not shared your experiences with me.

Thanks to all of you and may God continue to use all of you that are on here.

    Great News!!!
    Chad,

Great to hear that things are going well. I know it was a long battle in the beginning. I am sure you are glad to be finished with those long trips to Charleston. I hope the scan news continues to be good.

I had my 2.5 year scan Monday of this week. I get the results next Monday. Fingers crossed.

Let me know if I can provide any assistance with the EC support group.

    Best Regards,
